Doubleshot goes on the air as the usual pyrotechnics display is seen on the ringside stage. The fans are on their feet and are cheering loudly as X-WCW’s pre-PPV show has begun. The cameras pan over to the announce booth with James Russell and Randal King.
JR: “Welcome ladies and gentlemen to another edition of X-WCW doubleshot! This is James Russell and alongside with me as always is Randal King. We are coming live from the Conseco Feildhouse in Indianapolis Indiana, the venue for the X-WCW’s 100th show, GROUND ZERO IV!!!”
RK: “What better way to bring the folks of Indiana a piece of what’s to come for GZIV than to bring the action to them before the pay per view itself?!”
JR: “We have a special treat for you all tonight as 2 X-WCW titles will be put on the line here in Indiana. First, we will see “Malibu” Mark Marlin trying to dethrone the TV Champion Mike Magnus! On the next bout we also have another title on the line with Real American Rocky Davis trying to defend his title against Seith Helloct.”
RK: Those are pretty good matches JR but let’s not forget the number one contendership for the X-WCW Xtreme title is here as well. The Renegade vs Nightmare vs CJ Baller in a triple threat match! We also have a special main event with The Real Deal of the nTo will actually wrestle John Crook! Haha! This is gonna be surprising JR, what if Crook goes 2-0 tonight?”
JR: “Talk about a history making match, John Crook having a one on one match right here on Doubleshot.”
RK: “If that is not history making enough, we got RNR’s Five Star Review, for the first time ever to be aired live!”
JR: “So ladies and gentlemen, we are making history in this 99th show of the X-WCW just before the record breaking show number 100!”
X-WCW TV Championship
Mark Marlin vs Mike Magnus (c)
”Voodoo Child” by Jimmy Hendrix hits the ringside speakers and it brings out Mark Marlin out of the curtains doing some air guitar. He stays on the stage while a portion of the fans cheer for him as he does his usual poses and flexes before making his way down towards the rampway.
THII: “On his way to the ring, he weighs in at 275 lbs, MARK MARLIN!!!”
JR: “Welcome back ladies and gentlemen to our first match of the night. This match will pit two men for the X-WCW Television Title.”
RK: “On his way down here, JR, is Mark Marlin. I am sure he wants the gold before heading to Ground Zero IV.”
Marlin enters the ring and poses for the fans once again before his music fades out. “To the pain” by Nonpoint hits and Mike Magnus enters the ringside area with the TV title on his shoulder.
THII: “And his opponent, hailing from Baltimore MD, he stands at 5’10 and weighs in at 217 lbs. He is the current X-WCW Television Champion…MIKE MAGNUS!!!”
Mike Magnus gets a nice reaction from the crowd as he marches down the aisle with the Television Title.
JR: “Here comes Mike Magnus, our current Television champion.”
RK: “He is very confident as he marches down the rampway, JR. However, he should realize the tall task ahead of him.”
Magnus slides into the ring and looks on the other side of the ring where Mark Marlin stares at him as well.
JR: “Both men are not taking their eyes off the other, this is tension filled already even before the match has begun.”
RK: “Man you can…”
JR: “Cut this tension with a butter knife? Pretty much, King.”
The bell rings and both men lock up in the center of the ring. Mark Marlin uses his strength to shove the TV champ down to the mat. Mike Magnus shakes his head and both men initiate another grapple in the ring before Magnus locks in a side headlock on his opponent. Marlin forces Mike Magnus into the ropes and whips him across. He ducks down for a back body drop but Magnus catches him with a boot across the face. The TV Champion grabs Mark Marlin and takes him down with a snap suplex.
JR: “Snap suplex delivered by Mike Magnus on Marlin!”
Marlin gets to his feet and scouts an incoming Mike Magnus with a big boot to the face. Magnus goes down and “Malibu” Mark bounces off the ropes and looks to deliver a running legdrop. Magnus rolls out of the way and Marlin crashes to the mat. Mike Magnus sinks in a headlock on the grounded Mark Marlin. He keeps the headlock as his opponent gets to his feet and tries to dislodge him with some hard elbow strikes to the gut. Mike Magnus lets go of the headlock and he is whipped across the ropes by Marlin. Mark Marlin catches the TV Champion and levels him with a powerslam.
JR: “Powerlam! Marlin hooks the leg for the pin: 1, and a kickout by Magnus!”
RK: “That was a pretty early pin attempt if I ever saw one JR.”
Mark Marlin picks up Magnus, but the TV champion shoves him out of the way. Marlin comes back and delivers a club to the back, but Magnus fights back with a kick to the gut. Magnus connects with a couple of right hands to the challenger before he sends him down with a haymaker. Marlin rolls up to a vertical base and Magnus is there to try and clothesline him over the ropes. Marlin back body drops Magnus over the ropes, but the TV champ lands safely onto the apron. Mark Marlin turns around and is caught by a hard chop to the chin. Mike Magnus grabs Marlin and attempts to suplex him off the ring.
RK: “Mike Magnus has him up and is going to suplex the challenger, but Mark Marlin lands back in the ring and reverses the suplex! Wow!”
JR: “Marlin used his strength as a leverage there and suplexed the TV champ back inside the X-WCW ring.”
Mark Marlin waits for Mike Magnus to get to his feet before he starts to run towards him. He goes for a clothesline but Mike Magnus avoids it and levels Marlin with an enzugiri. Mark Marlin tumbles to the mat and Mike Magnus quickly ascends to the top.
JR: “He goes to the top turnbuckle and you know what might come next, King!”
RK: “Oh yes..he goes for the ultra magnus and he hits it!”
JR: “Magnus, with that shooting star press just connected it on Marlin. Here is the pin: 1-2-3!”
RK: “Whoa, was it just me, or was this match…fast?”
THII: “The winner and STILL X-WCW Television Champion: MIKE MAGNUS!”
The referee raises the arm of Mike Magnus in victory as his music plays.
JR: “I gotta admit, it was a fast match as you said King. But that might mean more action will be reserved for us tonight in this Doubleshot show before Ground Ze..OH MY GOOD LORD! Nightmare and Rayne Bloodstone just sneaked up from behind and attacked the Television Champion!”
While the commentators were busy, Nightmare and Rayne Bloodstone slid into the ring and assaulted Mike Magnus from behind. Nightmare leaves the ring to grab a chair and slides back in with it. Inside the ring, Rayne chokes Mangus at the corner before she grabs Mike Magnus. With Magnus on Rayne’s grasps, Nightmare delivers a vicious chair shot over the head of the Television Champion.
RK: “ARGH! That was one sickening thud!”
JR: “Goodness! This isn’t right, what did Mike Magnus do to deserve such a beating the likes of this?”
RK: “He might have pissed off Nightmare? That’s something I would think.”
Mike Magnus is outcold and Nightmare instructs Rayne Bloodstone to grab something outside.
JR: “Now what might this be King?”
RK: “Looks to me like…whoa…oh no, don’t tell me they will use THAT ladder!”
Rayne shoves the ladder inside the ring and Nightmare starts to set it up. Rayne Bloodstone climbs back into the ring and sets up the table while NM ascends the ladder. Mike Magnus is getting put on the table and is pummeled momentarily until NM makes it on top of the ladder.
JR: “Nightmare is on top and he goes crashing down off the ladder with a moonsault on Mike Magnus! BAH GAWD!”
RK: “Whoa, talk about how one man is going through extreme measures to give a statement here tonight.”
JR: “A demented and sick human being Nightmare is, King. Well folks we have to cut to commercials right now, but stay tuned, more Doubleshot after this.”
X-WCW goes to a commercial break as the EMTs rush into the ringside area.
X-WCW IC Championship
Seith Helloct vs. RA (c)
We go back from the commercial break and Terri Hotbody is over at ringside to announce the next contest.
THII: “This next match is scheduled for one fall and is for the X-WCW INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!!”
“The crows” plays at the ringside speakers and the ever elusive Seith Helloct makes his entrance to the ring with a very mixed reaction from the audience.
THII: “Introducing the challenger, from Pensacola, SEITH HELLOCT!!!”
JR: “Welcome back ladies and gentlemen to Doubleshot, the last show before our special 100th show Ground Zero IV: The Return! Right now we have this Intercontinental Title match between Seith Helloct and Rocky Davis. Let’s remember folks that Seith Helloct who is the challenger here in this match is a former IC champion himself.”
RK: “If anything is going to test RA’s worth as a champion, this is it JR.”
Seith enters the ring and waits patiently for his opponent to come out to ringside. “Super Beast” by Rob Zombie hits the speakers and Rocky Davis comes down to ringside. RA is greeted by thunderous boos and jeers from the crowd as he makes his way down the aisle. In tow, we see his future wife Aries stand behind and clapping on his man.
THII: “And his opponent, from Ellis Island, weighing 350 pounds, he is the Intercontinental Champion. Being accompanied by Aries he is….”The Real American” ROCKY DAVIS!!!”
RK: “Here comes good old Rocky Davis. Well let’s see how much he’s got tonight. He’s got plenty on the plate in defending that title against a dangerous Seith Helloct.”
JR: “I know what you mean King. This is a good matchup for the night. Well speaking of a good match, I guess you can say he and Aries are a good match if you know what I mean JR.”
Aries stays on the outside while RA enters the ring and poses with the IC belt. His music slowly fades into the background and both men stare at each other from opposing sides of the ring.
RK: “Both men are now inside the ring, JR, this match is about to start.”
The match does commence by the sound of the bell and both men head over to the center of the ring. Rocky Davis challenges Seith Helloct in a test of strength but Helloct just looks at the hand Rocky raises to initiate the grapple before landing a hard kick to the gut of the IC champion. Helloct connects with some stiff forearms to the face of his opponent before he tries to whip him across the ropes. Rocky Davis reverses it and it’s Seith who bounces off the ropes. Rocky Davis tries to clothesline the returning Helloct but he ducks. Helloct bounces off the ropes and tries to pounce on the IC champ. However, Rocky catches him mid-air and delivers a sideslam that resembles Abyss’s black hole slam.
JR: “Look at that impact! Rocky Davis just drove Seith Helloct hard on the ground with that slam!”
RK: “I said it time and time again on high impact moves and here goes: That kinda shook the ring didn’t it?”
Rocky Davis picks up Seith Helloct and backs him into the corner. There, he delivers some punishing kicks to the sternum before he uses his boot to choke the challenger. The referee breaks the choke soon enough and forces Rocky Davis to keep a distance on Seith Helloct and the corner for a couple of seconds. Rocky approaches Sieth Helloct and Seith fights back with some punches to the body of Rocky Davis. He grabs Rocky by the head and slams him face first onto the turnbuckle a couple of times. He spins Rocky Davis around and snapmares him to the mat.
RK: “He snapmares Rocky down and ouch! He just delivered one hard kick to the back of RA!”
JR: “A brutal punt to the back of the IC champ and he rolls outside to recover.”
“Real American” Rocky Davis rolls outside and cringes in pain after getting a hard kick to the back. Aries runs over to try and aid her man, but Seith Helloct comes to the outside of the ring as well. Aries backs away from RA as Seith charges at him with a running knee lift. RA is knocked out and leans on the crowd barrier while Seith unloads some heavy punches on the IC champ. Aries gets in between the two and shoves Seith out of the way. Seith does not respond kindly to it and tries to deliver a haymaker right at Aries. However, Aries avoids it and Seith walks right into a hard clothesline from a recovered RA. RA picks up Seith and sends him back into the ring before he follows suit.
JR: “Both men are back in the ring and RA starts the boots on a recovering Seith Helloct. Helloct is set up for a vertical suplex and it is connected by the IC champ!”
RA goes for the pin but Seith gets his arm raised at 2. Rocky Davis goes to a vertical base and anticipates Helloct’s recovery. Helloct gets up and is on a receiving end of a boot to the mid section. Rocky Davis tries to bodyslam Helloct, but Seith wriggles free and goes behind RA. He does a backslide pin on RA but the IC champ kicks out at two as well.
RK: “Seith is a sneaky one, JR! He almost got that pin on the IC champ.”
Both men get to their feet but it’s the IC champion who gets the upperhand as he delivers a running STO on his opponent. The ring literally shakes and the IC champ shouts “YEAH” to the dismay of the fans. He picks up Seith Helloct, but the challenger fights back with a hard jawbreaker move. RA falls to the mat and Seith Helloct slowly gets to his feet.
JR: “He took off the IC champion off his feet with that impressive jawbreaker move.”
RA slowly gets to his feet and Seith Helloct hits a hard kick to the mid-section of the IC champ. He pulls RA near and sets him up for the evenflow DDT, but Aries heads to the apron and shouts at Seith. Helloct is distracted and threatens Aries that he would inflict physical harm upon her if she would not leave the apron. This gives RA the perfect opportunity to deliver some punishing blows to the side of Seith and get out of the front face lock. RA, who is set free from SH’s clutches, hits a hard punch to the gut of SH and takes him down with a double underhook suplex.
JR: “He was almost close to getting DDT’ed by his opponent, but thanks to Aries the IC champ got away from his grasp.”
He lifts Seith Helloct to a vertical base before he sets him up for the crucifix powerbomb. However, Rocky Davis makes a pause as he notices someone on the stage.
JR: “KING! Look, it’s Joe Goldstone! He is watching this entire thing unfold on the stage.”
RK: “RA does not like this one bit. He wants Goldstone out of the ringside or something right now.”
RA glares at Joe Goldstone before he lifts Seith up for the crucifix powerbomb. However, Seith wriggles free from RA’s move and lands behind him. Soon enough he goes for a backslide pin on an unsuspecting RA. The referee goes to count.
RK: “He got a backslide on RA! 1-2-3! OH MY GOODNESS SEITH JUST WON!!!”
JR: “Thanks to the distraction by one Joe Goldstone, Seith Helloct not only steals the victory but he stole the match from RA! This is one interesting development indeed!”
The bell rings and Seith Helloct gets his hand raised in victory. On the stage we see Joe Goldstone applauding Seith’s win.
THII: “The winner and NEW X-WCW Intercontinental Champion: SEITH HELLOCT!!!”
“The crows” start to play at ringside as Seith gets the IC title handed to him. On one corner of the ring, a defeated RA is being consoled by Aries. Joe Goldstone approaches the ringside with a mic on his hand and begins to speak.
JG: “Bravo. Good one Seith, but as I said before I’m gunning that IC title no matter WHO is holding it by the time Ground Zero IV comes along. So Seith, I challenge you for that title…IN A STEEL CAGE MATCH!!!”
The fans pop and they pop louder once Seith nods his head in agreement inside the ring.
JR: “A STEEL CAGE MATCH FOR THE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE AT GROUND ZERO IV!!! King, that is going to be a very extreme outing for both men if I do say so myself.”
RK: “The crowd loves it, JR! Well…I don’t thing RA approves though.”
Rocky Davis shakes his head in disapproval and grabs a nearby mic.
RA: “NO! THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN!”
Goldstone and Seith look towards RA’s direction. The former champion points to himself with emphasis as he starts to explain.
RA: “As the former IC champ, I have the right to have a rematch..cause I have a rematch clause!”
RA grins proudly and the fans boo him for the confident smirk that the just did.
RA: “So in case I would have lost tonight, and lucky for Seith I did, I asked John Crook a few minutes ago and approved that my rematch at Ground Zero IV will be in a HELL IN A CELL MATCH!!!”
RK: “HELL IN A CELL?! Is he joking us JR?!”
JR: “With that serious look on his face, King, I am not sure. So I guess the question now is this, if John Crook did approve of this fail-safe rematch for Rocky Davis, will it only feature him and Seith Helloct? How about Joe Goldstone and the challenge Seith accepted for him already? Stay tuned folks, we will get to the bottom of this after this brief commercial break.”
X-WCW goes to a commercial break as we see RA pointing to his old IC belt.
Backstage
Doubleshot returns to the airwaves and we see Cole Ryan outside the office of John Crook.
CR: “Welcome back to Doubleshot and I’m backstage here to get a word from the X-WCW’s Chief of Operations John Crook regarding the IC title match for Ground Zero IV.”
With that said, he enters the office of the X-WCW CEO. There, we see John Crook wearing a black sports jacket and is in deep thought while sitting on his desk. His concentration on the mahogany furnished desk of his office is cut off and he looks at Cole Ryan.
JC: “What is it?”
CR: “Well sir, I’m sorry to interrupt but everyone wants to know your decision regarding the X-WCW Intercontinental title and how it will be defended. Earlier, Seith Helloct accepted the challenge of Joe Goldstone to put the title on the line in a Cage match. However, RA said that you already approved a hell in a cell match with himself and the IC champion for the PPV. Would you care to explain to everyone how to solve this?”
JC looks at Cole for a second before he looks at his papers momentarily. He shakes his head after scanning through the papers and mumbles something.
JC: “Damn…so I did approve of that match just in case RA lost and he did lose tonight.”
Crook looks back at Cole and the camera man.
JC: “I’ve decided the following to take place at Ground Zero. At Ground Zero IV, Rocky Davis WILL get his rematch. In fact it will be Seith Helloct defending the IC title against “Real American” Rocky Davis AND Joe Goldstone in a HELL IN A CELL match. That way, all three men will be happy. Any more questions Cole? I’m busy preparing for my match if you do not know.”
CR: “Oh, no more sir. Thank you sir.”
CR looks back at the camera and grins.
CR: “Folks, there you have it! At GZ IV, it will be Seith Helloct vs Rocky Davis vs Joe Goldstone for the IC title inside Hell in a cell! Let’s take it back to ringside for our next match.”
#1 Contendership to the X-WCW Xtreme Championship
The Renegade Ron Michaels vs. Nightmare vs. CJ Baller
We go back from the backstage segment and head to ringside where “Hurt” by Johnny Cash is heard throughout ringside. TRRM makes his entrance and the fans boo him.
THII: “The following is a triple threat match to determine the number one contender for the X-WCW Xtreme Championship! On the way to the ring from out west, he is The Renegade RON MICHAELS!!!”
TRMM marches down the aisle and look menacingly towards the ring as we now hear from the commentators.
JR: “Welcome back ladies and gentlemen to X-WCW Doubleshot! As you have seen folks, the IC title will be defended by Seith against both Joe Goldsotne and Rocky Davis in a hell in a cell match. So King we will have THREE men inside that demonic structure. But right now we will have three men competing for a shot at the X-WCW Xtreme championship.”
RK: “The first competitor in here is Ron Michaels, JR. He looks amped up and all serious like. I guess he still wants to redeem himself after that thrashing he got from Cane Deathscream in the cage.”
TRMM slides into the ring and poses for the fans who just boos him on and on and on until the break of dawn. He stares at the stage as his music fades out and “Go To Sleep” starts to reverberate in the PA Systems. Nightmare comes to ringside and is greeted by a mixed reaction from the crowd. He begrudgingly makes his way down the aisle as THII introduces him next.
THII: “From your living nightmare, he is…NIGHTMARE!!!”
Nightmare makes his way into the ring and leans on the post. TRRM glares at his opponent and still looks focused while in contrast Nightmare just stares blankly at him and goes on with his business.
JR: “Nightmare is also a fierce competitor, King. He seems slightly unenthused but do not let that fool you. Not only is this man technically skilled, he knows how to fly off the top rope.”
RK: “We have seen time and time again what both men can do. Both men are ground and pound JR, but can also take it to the next level.”
“War” by Nas hits the speakers and CJ Baller comes out to some cheers from the fans. He poses on stage and makes his way down the aisle as THII introduces him.
THII: “And from Philadelphia PA, CJ BALLER!!!”
CJ slides into the ring and poses for the fans who continues to cheer for him.
JR: “The third man for this match is CJ Baller. King, we’ve seen him compete in a couple of matches and what do you think?”
RK: “I say he’s a fit for these two men. He has strength and also a few fast paced moves in his arsenal as well. I think he is the Blackhorse that would win at this match.”
JR: “He indeed is a wildcard and a likely winner of this match King. If CJ is the same as his brother Karl, maybe soon enough he’d be there in the world championship hunt.”
CJ Baller climbs down from the top rope and looks at his two competitors as his music fades.
JR: “All three men are in the ring right now and the match is about to start King.”
RK: “Yeah JR. You can feel the tension in the air as all three men are inside that ring.”
The bell rings and all three men are in the center of the ring. TRRM quickly strikes at Nightmare with a hard kick to the gut, but he too gets hit by a punch from CJ Baller. TRRM fights back and delivers a couple of punches to CJ Baller. CJ Baller retaliates with punches of his own on TRRM before Nightmare comes in and delivers a hard forearm to the back of TRRM’s head. CJ Baller and Nightmare send TRRM into the ropes and take him down with a double back elbow smash to the face. CJ Baller bounces off the ropes and is looking to add more damage to Renegade but Nightmare catches him with a dropkick that takes him down.
RK: “Haha! CJ shouldn’t have trusted Nightmare in that brief alliance they had. This is still a three-way match where the winner can only be one.”
Nightmare waits for CJ Baller to get up before he takes him down yet again in an armdrag. He grabs hold of CJ’s arm and locks it in an armbar hold. CJ Baller struggles to get to his feet and tries to reverse it. At the same time, The Renegade gets to his feet and kicks the arms of both CJ Baller and Nightmare since NM still had the hold on. Nightmare lets go of CJ Baller’s arm and is reeled into a DDT from TRRM. CJ Baller waits for Ron Michaels to get to his feet before he delivers a hard clothesline that sends him down.
JR: “Bah gawd! That clothesline just turned him inside-out!”
CJ Baller waits for someone to get up first and it turns out to be TRRM. He grabs TRRM in a front face lock and is about to deliver a suplex. He lifts up TRRM in a vertical position, however, we see Nightmare sneak behind CJ Baller and lifts him up in a back suplex position. What results in this move is that CJ Baller suplexes TRRM onto the mat while at the same time he is driven to the mat by a back suplex thanks to Nightmare.
RK: “Nightmare snuck in and got his move in. Pretty sneaky man that guy is.”
JR: “He seems like it King. He knows where to pick his spots.”
Nightmare scouts CJ Baller getting to his feet and he delivers a spinning back kick right at the gut area of his opponent. CJ Baller gets hit and Nightmare follows it up with some furious punches to the body of his opponent. CJ Baller is on spaghetti legs at the moment and Nightmare bounces off the ropes. Before he could make it to CJ, however, TRRM gets up just in time and catches Nightmare with a hiptoss. TRRM directs his attention to CJ Baller and takes him down with a running leg lariat.
JR: “The Renegade seems to look for control in this match right now as he took down both men.”
TRRM picks up Nightmare and tosses him over the ropes and out of the ring. He turns his attention to the recovering CJ Baller and rains down the boots on him. He pulls CJ up and backs him into the corner. There, The Renegade climbs up and delivers some hard punches to the face of CJ Baller. He reaches at least 6 straight punches until CJ fights back with punches to the stomach of TRRM. TRRM fights back with a vicious headbutt that stops the momentum of CJ Baller’s comeback on the ring corner. Unbeknownst to TRRM, however, Nightmare has recovered outside the ring and is heading towards his direction.
RK: “That was a nasty headbutt and I guess it made CJ Baller quite dizzy.”
JR: “The renegade starts to pummel on the face of his opponent, hitting him with hard right hands across the forehead.”
This time, Renegade reaches 10 successive punches and grins at the crowd. While he is at the corner, he poses for the fans who boo him, until they cheer when Nightmare hops onto the apron and soon enough hits some hard gut punches to TRRM. Nightmare climbs to the top turnbuckle and does a crossbody off the corner to take both himself and TRRM to the mat.
JR: “Nightmare with the high crossbody off the turnbuckles and he hooks TRRM’s leg for the pin. 1-2-and CJ Baller is there to break it up.”
CJ Baller picks up Nightmare and delivers some hard punches to his face. Nightmare is on spaghetti legs at the moment and CJ Baller bounces off the nearby ropes to try and clothesline his opponent. Nightmare ducks down and it’s a recovering TRRM that CJ Baller clotheslines instead. CJ Baller turns around and he is taken down by a clothesline from Nightmare.
JR: “Baller tried to clothesline nightmare but wound up clotheslining someone else.”
RK: “In the end it’s Nightmare who got to clothesline CJ Baller. Pretty entertaining if you ask me, JR.”
CJ Baller is the first to get to his feet and Nightmare sends him toppling down to the mat with an enzugiri kick. TRRM is on his feet and tries to go towards Nightmare. Nightmare scouts him and drop toe holds him on top of the middle rope. “The Renegade” Ron Michaels is left to dry on the middle rope until Nightmare bounces off the ropes and attacks him with a knee strike right on his back. TRRM falls to the mat and feels his back ache while Nightmare stares with a sick grin on his lips.
RK: “Man, Nightmare is surely enjoying dishing out pain on his enemies huh JR?”
JR: “He has that sadistic smile etched on his face right now, King. Hence, I don’t doubt that statement you made.”
Nightmare sees CJ Baller getting to his feet and goes over to the brother of KB. CJ Baller gets a glimpse of Nightmare approaching and he waylays his opponent with a knee to the gut. CJ Baller whips him into the nearby ropes and catches Nightmare with a spinebuster. Nightmare lies flat on his back while CJ Baller looks at a recovering TRRM. CJ Baller gets to TRRM just in time and delivers some punishing punches to the head of TRRM as he backs him into the corner. There, CJ starts to deliver some knife edged chops across his opponent’s chest while the fans ‘woo’ every time CJ connects with a chop on TRRM. CJ Baller sends TRRM to the top turnbuckle and climbs to the second rope. He sets TRRM for a superplex but it is blocked. TRRM tries to fight back with some solid punches to the sides of CJ Baller on the corner.
JR: “It’s a struggle at the ring corner there with TRRM and CJ Baller. Ron Michaels is starting to fight off the superplex attempt of his opponent but cannot completely force him to let go.”
RK: “CJ has a strong grip on The Renegade and it might be a continuous struggle until..wait! Nightmare is heading there too!”
A recovered Nightmare heads to the corner to sneak under CJ Baller and TRRM on the corner. There, he grabs CJ Baller and delivers a sit-down powerbomb while CJ Baller also superplexes TRRM at the same time. All three men are down and the fans just gave a pop on that three-way move.
JR: “A lot can happen in this triple threat match and it just happened now! A combination of a superplex and a sit-down powerbomb was on display there by all three men.”
All three men are laid out momentarily inside the ring, but it’s Nightmare who slowly gets to his feet first. TRRM slowly gets to his feet as well but he is taken down and out of the ring by Nightmare who delivers a superkick right on the chin of his opponent.
JR: “Nightmare connects with a superkick and out of the ring goes Ron Michaels!!!”
RK: “Man that was a solid kick to the chin, JR. He might have knocked him out to the pay per view.”
Back in the ring, Nightmare waits for CJ Baller to get to his feet and attempts for his Go To Sleep kick. He tries to deliver the devastating kick to CJ Baller, but he ducks down to avoid it. CJ Baller gets to his feet and Nightmare tries it yet again. However, CJ ducks down the second attempt. Third time is the charm because as soon as Nightmare missed, he spun around to deliver a third attempt and it hits CJ Baller right on the head.
JR: “After two misses, Nightmare connects with that devastating buzzsaw like kick to the head of his opponent!”
RK: “If you don’t succeed JR, try and try again and that was what Nightmare was gunnin for here.”
CJ Baller is laid out on the mat and we see Rayne Bloodstone hopping over the barrier and tossing a chair towards the ring. Suddenly, she leaves ringside while Nightmare sets up the chair. He bounces off the ropes and hops over the chair, before he lands his feet on the top rope and delivers the FEAR!
JR: “THE FEAR!!! The triple jump moonsault has been delivered by Nightmare on CJ Baller and he hooks the leg for the pin. 1-2-and oh my…Nightmare just got pulled out of the ring by…MIKE MAGNUS?!”
RK: “Did he just climb out from under the ring JR?!”
JR: “I-I believe he did!”
Magnus delivers some stiff right hands to the face of Nightmare before he tries to send him into the ring steps. Nightmare blocks it and delivers a back elbow to the face of his enemy. Eventually, both men start to punch it out with each other on the outside while the referee tries to call Nightmare’s attention to go back into the match. While all of this is happening, we see TRRM slide back into the ring groggily and sees CJ Baller still down on the mat. He goes over to CJ and applies the Renegade Hold.
JR: “Mike Magnus and Nightmare are now taking the fight into the crowd! Someone better call security cause we gotta stop that pier 6 brawl there. Back in the ring, TRRM has his submission hold locked in on CJ Baller. The referee checks on Baller and it seems like that’s it. CJ is passed out and the referee calls for the bell.”
RK: “Talk about taking a big opportunity, JR. TRRM saw his chance and he scored!”
The bell rings and TRRM releases his submission hold on CJ Baller.
THII: “The winner and the number one contender for the X-WCW Xtreme Title…”THE RENEGADE” RON MICHAELS!!!”
“Hurt” by Johnny Cash hits the speakers and the fans boo the win that TRRM just got tonight. He gets his arm raised by the referee but he shrugs it off immediately and just mounts onto the nearby corner to gloat and celebrate his win.
RK: “He looks like a happy man, JR! On Ground Zero IV, he will face the Xtreme champion.”
JR: “He was a former Xtreme Champion, King and I have no doubt that he is looking forward to trying and regain that title. Folks, we will take a brief commercial break. Coming up, we still got more action plus RNR’s Five Star Review..only here on DOUBLESHOT!!!”
X-WCW goes to a commercial break as we see TRRM continue celebrating his win inside the ringside area.
THE FIVE STAR REVIEW
Guests: Final Frontier and The Lost Boys
X-WCW Doubleshot goes back on the air and we see R.E. Rage and Brett Rayne inside the dimly lighted X-WCW ring. The ring is dark that only a spotlight shines on the tag team called RNR form above. The ring is now different as they changed the set up for tonight’s FIVE STAR REVIEW. The ring mat is replaced by some sleek carpeting that is so sleek, that this writer does not have any wordings to describe its sleek-ness to the reader and would leave it to their imagination. Rage and Rayne are seated at their respective director’s chair while a 50 inch flat screen TV is hung about a few feet behind them that shows the logo of RNR’s Five Star Review. On one side of the set we see a couple of bar stools while on the other we also see a couple of bar stools that would be for the four guests of the evening. “Filmstar” by Suede plays in the background as the lights slowly open up to show the entire set that was previously described.
Rage: “Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the first ringside edition of RNR’s Five Star Review. I’m R.E. Rage and me and Brett sold off Sandy Drake’s old set of The Young Zone and got enough money to…well…let’s save that for later on the show.”
Brett: “And I am the playboy BRETT RAYNE!”
The music fades out and this time it is replaced by boos from the ringside crowd.
Rage: “As we told you guys last Warzone, tonight marks a historic night for the X-WCW as your Too Hot For Television tag team champions…”
Both men look up into the air as piped-in music of trumpets playing something that resembles a triumphant tune is heard. They look back at the audience while Rage continues his speech.
Rage: “…will make the first ever ringside or live edition of the most popular X-WCW.com show.”
Brett: “So tonight’s guests will be the challengers The Lost Boys and the current tag team champions Final Frontier.”
Rage: “As mentioned before we sold most of the young zone’s furniture and set…which was actually remolded furniture from an old floor at the X-WCW HQ back at Indiana in the first place…and gave the two teams some suitable entrance music for their guest spot here at the five star review. So let’s start off with introducing the challengers. Brett, if you may do the honors.”
Brett: “Why yes, Rage!”
Brett gets up and pulls out a piece of index card.
RK: “Haha! Look at that JR, he has a script for his introduction of the Lost Boys.”
JR: “Wow, this is impressive indeed.”
RK: “Not as impressive that I can’t fail to detect a hint of sarcasm on that remark, JR.”
Brett lets out a cough before he speaks.
Brett: “Ladies and gentlemen, introducing first, we have known them for being Rocky Davis’ two little bitches before Aries even came to the picture. These two brothers have been sticking each other and looking out for each other in matches like real brothers do. The most famous match they ever had was that time when their mentor and head pimp Rocky Davis slipped out a huge metallic piece of rod and clanked their opponents’ head with it for them to be victorious. Ladies and gentlemen, these brothers call their tag team the same name as the Joel Schumacher directed 1980s film that also showed is a young Kiefer Sutherland…THE LOST BOYS!!!”
Brett makes a dramatic pause as we hear the fans boo. He then points at the stage.
Brett: “Speaking of the film, we decided to take a song from the soundtrack of the movie which is entitled The Lost Boys. Take it away Elton!”
The spotlight goes on the stage and we see Sir Elton John himself with a piano.
RK: “JR! LOOK! IT’S SIR ELTON JOHN! Man, they must have gotten a ton of money to get his services!”
But as the camera closes in, we see it’s just Weird Al Yankovic in disguise as Sir Elton John.
JR: “Hmm…yeah it looks like Elton John indeed King. But I feel a little weird about this.”
RK: “Haha..haha..funny JR. Yeah pun intended about Weird Al.”
In his high pitched voice, he sings to the crowd.
"I can’t light no more of your darkness
All my pictures seem to fade to black and white
I’m growing tired and time stands still before me
Frozen here on the ladder of my life”
Eventually we see Mike and Mark Daniels enter the ringside area. They pose for the fans who boo them, but upon gazing at the piano where the singer stands, they feel quite uneasy and stare at Weird Al for a few seconds. A few seconds linger by and The Lost Boys just shrug their shoulders and march down the aisle.
“Its much too late to save myself from falling
I took a chance and changed your way of life
But you misread my meaning when I met you
Closed the door and left me blinded by the light”
Eventually, both men enter the ring and shake hands with both Rage and Rayne. As The Lost Boys turn their backs on RNR and pose for the crowd, we see Brett Rayne and R.E. Rage pull out their respective handkerchief and wipe their hands clean of the handshake.
“Dont let the sun go down on me
Although I search myself, its always someone else I see
Id just allow a fragment of your life to wander free
But losing everything is like the sun going down on me…”
The music dies down on the cue of Brett Rayne and RNR look at the Lost Boys.
Rage: “Great to have you two on board here tonight for our Five Star Review. Well me and Brett here hope that you guys can get a bit comfortable with your chairs cause we goota introduce our final two guests for the night. With that said, Brett, please do the honors of introducing them.”
Brett Rayne yet again pulls another card from his pocket and reads it.
Brett: “Our final guests for tonight have been known around the X-WCW for almost 5 years already. They have been multiple X-WCW Tag Team champions. Their career spanned not only here but outside the X-WCW where they also had somewhat an ok time. They also tried to outdo this great duo with an X-WCW.com original video…that was canceled due to poor performance and due to the fact that no one can rival this show. One member dressed up like a superhero and once tagged with a hot Latina who I slept with one fateful December night. The other does not dress up to something that one would standout. Infact, he does NOT stand up meaning he is the standard bland guy out of the two. But there is an interesting note about him too…he was actually a former world champion at a federation……for only a few seconds. HAH! Ladies and gentlemen please welcome FINAL FRONTIER!!!”
He pauses yet again before he shouts: “HIT IT WEIRD AL!!!”
Some new tune hits the speakers as Weird Al loses his Elton John get up and now is seen dressed as a rapper. He starts to sing “White and Nerdy” upon SFM and AJ’s entrance into the ring.
“They see me mowin', my front lawn
I know they're all thinking I'm so White N' nerdy
Think I'm just too white n' nerdy
Think I'm just too white n' nerdy
Can't you see I'm white n' nerdy
Look at me I'm white n' nerdy!”
A bit ‘weirded out’ by the song, the X-WCW Tag Team Champions just go on and head down the aisle as they slap hands of the fans and give them high fives.
“I wanna roll with-The gangsters
But so far they all think I'm too white n' nerdy
Think I'm just too white n' nerdy
Think I'm just too white n' nerdy
I'm just too white n' nerdy
Really, really white n' nerdy.”
Final Frontier enter the ring and they just stare down at Rage and Rayne before they sit down on their respective seats inside the set. The music dies down and the guest singer leaves the ringside area.
Rage: “Well now it’s great to have all four of our guests here tonight at the Five Star Review. So since we have introduced our guests, I guess the next thing to do is the topic of tonight’s show.”
Brett: “Tonight, we got Final Frontier and The Lost Boys here because our topic is the X-WCW Tag Team Title match at Ground Zero IV.”
The duo would turn their direction towards the Lost Boys.
Rage: “So in the spirit of asking, let’s start with the challengers here. Mike Daniels and Mark Daniels, what do you two want to say about your match at Ground Zero for Final Frontier’s Tag Team Titles?”
Mike gets a microphone from the stage hand and looks at Final Frontier.
Mike: “Simple, really. A few months back we told Final Frontier that at Nitro 25 we’d win that number one contender’s match for the tag team titles. Fast forward to tonight, we did win it and we’re now competing to get their belts. “
Mark: “Yeah! As Mike said, we’ll be gunning for those belts of yours Final Frontier at Ground Zero IV. At the pay per view, we will win those belts and prove to you that you guys are not worthy of being tag team champions. That’s all we wanna say about that match.”
Mark pulls down the mic and now RNR looks at Final Frontier.
Brett: “Well those are strong words from the challengers huh guys? AJ? Sci-Fi? Anything you guys wanna say about that and the match at Ground Zero IV?”
AJ: “First of all, before me and Sci-Fi speak on that match, let me thank our gracious hosts for giving us a ‘nice’ introduction and a good entrance song.”
Rage; “You’re very much welcome AJ, cause for all we know you guys are nerdy and also…”
Brett: “VIRGINS!”
Rage: “Well I wasn’t going in that direction Brett but, well that can’t be helped now huh?”
SFM narrows his eyes on Brett before AJ speaks again.
AJ: “Ooooo-k. As I was saying, thank you for that wonderful welcome. But now let’s talk about the match then shall we? Lost Boys, you guys sure do look a bit lost here tonight without your leader Rocky Davis on your side providing you with the right words to say. You know what Mike and Mark, we’ve been there already. We have experienced teams trying to say we are not worthy of being X-WCW tag team champions. Most recently, RNR here said that and we proved them that we can hang in the ring with them not once but twice.”
The camera pans over to a displeased R.E. Rage and Brett Rayne before we see AJ continuing his speech.
AJ: “So with you guys there is no difference. At Ground Zero IV, me and SFM here will still be tag team champions.”
AJ hands the microphone to SFM.
SFM: “You two evil doers will not triumph against us, the X-WCW Tag Team Champions at Ground Zero IV for one specific reason. Sci Fi Man and Autobot Jazz are the heroes of the X-WCW and as you all know, heroes never lose to villains and fiendish duos such as you, Lost Boys.”
Mike: “Are you calling us villains? You calling us feinds, you costume wearing hack?!”
Mike and Mark Daniels stand up from their stools and so does Final Frontier, but RNR is there to get in the middle of things.
Rage: “Whoa, settle down guys. There is no need to get into a fight here, let’s keep things civil here before I ask Sid Greene to hose all you four down from the outside. Let’s not resort to that ok? C’mon…sit down.”
Final Frontier and The Lost Boys stare down the other team before they eventually sit down. Rage and Rayne shrug their shoulders before they plop down on their respective director’s chairs on the set as well.
Rage: “Good. Well it seems like the first question riled up our guests, so how about some other questions Brett?”
Brett: “Yeah, good idea Rage. First, let’s to Mike and Mark here for our next question. As you guys may know, there will be a wedding on the Nitro after Ground Zero. If anyone here has been living under a rock and has not touched this X-WCW broadcast since a grue of a disc jockey was a champion, Rocky Davis and Aries are going to be the lucky couple getting married. So what have you boys prepared for that special evening?”
Mike and Mark are grinning from ear to ear while we see RNR and Final Frontier look in disgust.
Mike: “You know Rage and Rayne, we are amped to go to the wedding. I heard they will do the ceremonies in this ring as well so that’s very nice of John Crook.”
Mark: “So to answer your question, yes we do have something special prepared for that evening. It won’t be taking place in the ring, but it will happen after the wedding itself, at the reception to be exact. We will do the Chippendale dance.”
Rage has his jaw somewhat drop while Rayne has a sheepish look, clearly both men seem disgusted while Final Frontier just shake their heads in shame.
Rage: “….too much info, buddy.”
Brett: “The dance, oh that’s very nice guys. Sucks that we are not invited to the whole wedding, but I guess it’s alright. We got some presents for the bride and groom afterwards anyways.”
The Lost Boys look at each other confused before they speak.
Mark: “Actually I heard RA gave it to you, Rage.”
Rage and Brett look at each other for a while before they shake their heads.
Rage: “Oh he did, I’m sorry but I guess I didn’t see it in my mailbox. Well if we’re invited to the wedding…and the dance, maybe we will try and go there.”
Rage looks back at Final Frontier.
Rage: “So…*coughs uncomfortably* you guys got any wishes for those two?”
AJ: “No comment.”
Rage: “Wise choice.”
AJ: “Damn sure it is.”
Rage: “Let’s keep it that way…so…”
Rage looks at the crowd and grins.
Rage: “Folks you heard it all, how these two teams almost brawled in our set to a wedding on Ground Zero IV. But that’s all the time this stupid network is allotting Five Star Review cause they told us they want action, we’ll get to that part soon enough. So Final Frontier and The Lost Boys, any parting words for everyone here tonight? Let’s start with the champions.”
Final Frontier has the camera panned over to their side.
AJ: “Everyone here in attendance, look at the ring and I’ll tell you what you see. You see two men who strive for truth, for justice, and will do whatever it takes to fight for it. Autobot Jazz and Sci Fi Man, we who comprise of Final Frontier, will show everyone at Ground Zero IV that we are the best X-WCW Tag Team Champions in the year of 2009. Lost boys, we are giving you a stern warning tonight, do not think of getting out of this match easily cause we will give you the fight of your lives.”
SFM: “Lost boys, it doesn’t matter what you bring in this match with you cause in the end, the good guys always win. We do not let evil doers get their ways, especially not get their way through our belts.”
The fans cheer before The Lost Boys make their remarks.
Mike: “That’s all good and whatnot about your good guy/bad guy speech fellas. However, it’s a sad truth that we will beat you and we will defeat you for those X-WCW tag team titles on Ground Zero IV: The Return. You know why it’s called ‘the return’, fellas? Mark, tell ‘em why.”
Mark: “It’s because those tag team titles will return to glory when it gets in our waist.”
Both teams stand up and go face to face. In the middle of it all, RNR just sit down and look uneasy upon realizing the impending brawl inside their set. Slowly, Mike Daniels lifts his mic.
Mike: “Oh and one more thing guys, here’s a little going away present for you.”
Mike Daniels slams the mic right into the face of SFM and it instigates the in-ring brawl. SFM is beaten down by Mike Daniels with some punches until he fights back. AJ and Mark Daniels brawl it out as well. The crowd goes wild as RNR try to restrain the two teams to no avail. Eventually, it goes too much out of control at one point when AJ blocks a clothesline by Mark Daniels and sends him crashing into the very expensive television set that RNR had for the set.
RK: “Ooooh! That might hurt RNR more than it hurt Mark Daniels. That TV sure looked expensive, until it got cracked by that hard impact.”
R.E. Rage and Brett Rayne looked pissed off and try to restrain AJ from getting his hands on Mark Daniels. However, they both get shoved aside. They look at each other and nod before they grab a stool each and bash AJ in the back once per turn. AJ falls down in a heap and this time RNR heads over to SFM to do the same thing. They shove Mike Daniels out of the way and Rage smashes one bar stool over the head of SFM and he falls out of the X-WCW ring. He is all laid out on the outside while Rage picks up the mic and speaks.
Rage: “I hope that teaches everybody here to NOT mess with our set, you hear me?!”
They dart their attention to the triumphant looking Lost Boys. Mike and Mark Daniels grab the hurt Autobot Jazz and toss him to the outside as well. Brett Rayne points at the Lost Boys and tells them to scram before we hear Rage talk again at the mic.
Rage: “Well that was a part of the ‘action’ I didn’t expect. Well that is all the time we have, this is R.E. Rage and Brett Rayne reminding you all that we are the best X-WCW tag team in recent history….so don’t hate.”
Rage and Brett: “JUST ENVY!”
The RNR theme song hits the speakers as Doubleshot heads to a brief commercial break.
********COMMERCIAL********
The commercial shows John Crook with an evil smirk and he is seen standing in front of an abandoned warehouse at night. Soon, we hear his voice over as the camera pans over to his face.
John Crook V.O.: “I am John Crook, the Chief of Operations of the X-WCW.”
We show different footages of John Crook walking down the aisle confidently with the rest of the revolution on his flank.
JC V.O.: “With Christopher Back out of the way, me and the Revolution have control of the X-WCW.”
The footage shows the Revolution beating down various wrestlers inside the X-WCW ring. The footage goes dark before it shows up to feature Tony Bonito standing there with his two belts.
Tony Bonito V.O.: “I am Tony Bonito, the X-WCW World Champion.”
We see a clip of Tony Bonito having an intense look on his face while he is inside the ring. Cue Bonito standing outside the said abandoned warehouse in his usual wrestling attire as his belts are still on his shoulders.
TB V.O.: “The time I took out Back at the X-Rumble, things have been looking up. The head of the X-WCW’s corruption has been taken out and I rightfully got what belongs to me…”
The video shows the footage of Bonito claiming the X-WCW World Title from the referee and getting his hand raised in victory. We see the footage pause and gets shattered as “Are you Ready?” by Hazen Street hits.
V.O.: “However, good things do not last forever.”
We see a clip of Bonito and Crook in the ring looking shocked as we hear the voice of Cane Deathscream.
CD: “On Ground Zero, it’s gonna be you and John Crook vs Team XS in a tag team throwdown match!”
V.O.: “And now, John Crook and Tony Bonito will have to team with each other to face the mysterious Team XS.”
The X-WCW logo flashes before the logo of Ground Zero 4 shows up on screen.
V.O.: “X-WCW presents: Ground Zero 4: THE RETURN!!! Live on Pay-Per-View!”

Backstage
Doubleshot returns from its commercial break and we see former X-WCW superstars Flash Stryker and Xille talking to each other before they pause and see Cane Deathscream.
Cane: “Well it’s good to see you guys get my invitation to drop by here sometime.”
Both men shake hands with Cane as Flash Stryker replies.
FS: “It took me and Xille a while to get our respective calls from you. Just coincidental that we dropped by the same time tonight.”
: “Or maybe not.”
John Crook appears behind the three men and looking not so pleased.
JC: “As it pains me to say this gentlemen, you are not active X-WCW wrestlers and I advise you to leave this area before I call security.”
Xille and Stryker glare at Crook before they bid Cane farewell and eventually leave. Crook smirks at Cane.
JC: “A possible team of Xille and Stryker. Your making it easy for me to figure out who team X-S is huh Cane? It seems like I got it all figured out now thanks to your screw up on inviting them.”
Cane: “Actually-”
JC: “NO! Actually, Cane, now that I know who they are…it’s just easy pickings from here on.”
Crook laughs as he leaves Cane shaking his head.
Brett Rayne vs Tommy Capello
We go back to ringside and “Clubbed to death” is heard in the speakers. The fans give a warm reception to Tommy Capello as he enters the ringside area.
THII: “The following match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, from Houston Texas, TOMMY CAPELLO!!!”
JR: “Welcome back to Doubleshot! Right now we are scheduled to see a singles match between Brett Rayne and Tommy Capello. Tell us how this came about, King.”
RK: “Basically it was just about Tommy being an eager beaver to get his ass kicked and RNR’s Brett Rayne complied to beat him up tonight. The nerve of this guy, JR, he has not even won a REGULAR match and he even tried to make his own rules. You know what that meant, he can’t win in a real wrestling match so he tried to get a rule to his advantage. John Crook saw through that and didn’t allow the travesty of justice to prevail.”
JR: “Hmmm, I take it you do not like this man for challenging people to oddball matches.”
RK: “……It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that out, JR.”
TC enters the ring and raises his arm in the air for the fans. He pulls his arm down and shifts his attention to the stage in anticipation of his opponent. “Number one” by Nelly hits the speakers and Brett Rayne comes out with R.E. Rage in tow. The fans give a negative reaction to the duo as they bombard them with boos.
THII: “And his opponent, from Huntington Beach California. Being accompanied to the ring by R.E. Rage, he is the Playboy…BRETT RAYNE!!!”
Brett Rayne does his playboy pose on stage while R.E. Rage claps on. RNR walk down the ring together as the fans continue to boo them.
JR: “Earlier, Brett Rayne and R.E. Rage hosted the very first ringside edition of The Five Star Review. There, they actually beat up Final Frontier with the help of the Lost Boys. Talk about being good hosts, they seemed to be on one side of the argument there.”
RK: “Right now, JR, I think it’s all about Brett Rayne putting this Capello guy in place.”
Brett Rayne enters the ring while R.E. Rage stays on the outside. BR looks at TC and grins before he faces the crowd and poses for them yet again. His music fades down and eventually the sound of the bell is heard to start the match.
JR: “The bell has rung and we are off to a match here, folks. What’s this? Brett Rayne seems to be extending his hand for a handshake.”
RK: “Hmmm, that doesn’t look odd. Maybe Brett is feeling a bit sportsman-like tonight.”
Tommy Capello hesitates at first before he reaches for the hand of Brett. Brett Rayne pulls TC into his handshake and scores with a hard knee to the gut of his opponent. Brett Rayne has TC’s arm in an armlock but it would be seconds later that TC would reverse the submission hold to his advantage. Tommy Capello drives his elbow towards the arm of Brett Rayne to break his own submission hold. TC bounces off the ropes and takes down Brett Rayne with a running bulldog.
JR: “Brett Rayne is on the mat after Tommy Capello connected with that bulldog after the bounce off the ropes.”
RK: “Early in this matchup and it seems like TC is getting the upper hand right here.”
TC keeps Brett Rayne down on the canvas as he mounts on top of him and delivers some hard elbow strikes to the face. Brett Rayne reaches out for the ropes and it forces TC to mount off from the playboy. Tommy Capello approaches a recovering Brett Rayne but is caught by a thumb to the eye. The former X-WCW tag team champion locks a sleeper hold on TC before he spins around and delivers a belly to belly slam on his opponent. With Capello on the mat, Brett Rayne bounces off the ropes and delivers a quick elbow drop. He gets up and does another running elbow drop before he picks up his opponent.
JR: “Tommy Capello had a momentary advantage but now it seems that Brett Rayne has advantage right now. Brett Rayne sets up TC for a suplex and he connects.”
TC falls down from the suplex and favors his back. Brett Rayne waits for TC to sit up before delivering a nasty kick on the back of Capello. The fans say ‘oooooh!’ in unison before they bombard the playboy with boos. Brett Rayne scoops up Tommy Capello and backs him into the nearby corner. There, he starts lighting up his opponent with knife edged chops across the chest. He follows the chops up with a couple of shoulder rams to the sternum of Capello before the man slumps down the corner.
RK: “Capello is taking a beating here, JR, just like his video package. Unlike in the video though, he has yet to pass out in the ring but I can tell you he has his eyes glazed over now.”
JR: “Brett Rayne is very confident right now as he has his opponent down on that corner, King. You can see him grinning from ear to ear as he plays to the crowd.”
Brett Rayne indeed poses for the fans in the middle of the ring before he sets his attention back to a struggling and groggy Tommy Capello. He pulls Capello up to his feet but TC delivers some hard punches to the body of Brett Rayne. Brett Rayne tries to fight back with a punch of his own but TC ducks down and quickly grabs the said arm. He and Brett Rayne go to the mat as Capello locks the arm of BR in an armbar for a good few seconds until Brett Rayne reaches for the ropes yet again. Tommy Capello lets go of the submission maneuver and waits for Brett to get to his feet.
JR: “Tommy Capello, anticipating Brett Rayne’s recovery, bounces off the ropes and tries to clothesline the playboy. However, Brett Rayne scouts the clothesline attempt and ducks. TC turns around and is floored by an impressive dropkick from one half of RNR.”
Brett Rayne charges at the recovered Tommy Capello and takes him down with a running knee smash across the face of his opponent.
RK: “That is gonna leave a serious mark on the face of TC. To me, that looked like one serious and painful knee lift.”
TC goes down and Brett Rayne puts the boots on him.
JR: “Brett Rayne is stomping a mudhole on his opponent as we speak after delivering that vicious knee lift. He picks up Capello and brings him down immediately with a sidewalk slam. He has him with the hook of the leg: 1-2-and a kickout!”
Brett Rayne looks distraught as the opponent got himself out of the pinning predicament at 2. Brett Rayne shakes his head and waits for Tommy to get up. He clubs TC on the back a couple of times before he whips him across the ropes. He goes for a clothesline but Tommy Capello ducks down. TC bounces back from the ropes and takes Brett Rayne down with a flying forearm smash. TC scouts a recovering Brett Rayne and takes him down with a deep armdrag. Brett Rayne gets to his feet, only to get armdragged once again. Tommy Capello waits for a recovering Brett Rayne before he takes him down with a single leg takedown.
JR: “TC sends Brett Rayne to the mat with a single leg take down and follows it up with a simple leg lock. Brett Rayne is using his strength to kick TC away and making him let go of the submission move.”
Brett Rayne kicks TC away before he gets to his feet. TC tries to approach Brett Rayne but he is caught with a boot to the midsection. Brett Rayne grabs TC before he drives him down the mat with a spinebuster.
JR: “Spinebuster! The playboy just planted his opponent to the mat with that move! He goes for another pin: 1-2-and another kickout!”
Brett Rayne gets up on his feet and is shaking his head in disbelief. Slightly angered, he taunts TC to get to his feet so he could finish this. He watches Capello get to his feet before he tries the plaboy superkick. The kick misses as TC avoids it and grabs Brett Rayne by the arm. Quickly, he flips BR to the mat and locks the Deathlock.
JR: “Tommy Capello captures Brett Rayne’s arm into that Deathlock maneuver in the middle of the ring. You can see The Playboy struggling to get out of that move, King.”
RK: “Yeah but I think that guy got it clamped on pretty tightly.”
Seconds later, Brett Rayne taps out and the referee calls for the bell. Outside the ring, R.E. Rage cannot believe the loss as we hear THII announcing the winner.
THII: “The winner of this match by submission: TOMMY CAPELLO!!!”
“Clubbed to death” hits and TC gets his hand raised by the referee. R.E. Rage slides in and he and Brett look angry at the loss.
JR: “For the first time in his career, Tommy Capello won a singles match in the X-WCW!!!”
RK: “You do notice, JR, that he is on a winning streak as of now with 2 straight victories. His last win was with Judge Death in a tag team match and now this. Hmmm…I guess things are looking up for Tommy here in the X-WCW.”
TC has a smile on his face, but it soon evaporates once he turns around to receive a hard boot by Brett Rayne. Rage bounces off the ropes to deliver a spinning neckbreaker. With TC down RNR puts the boots on him as the fans boo.
JR: “What a despicable showcase of sportsmanship by RNR. For goodness sakes, Tommy Capello just scored a win and yet these two men ruined it for him.”
RK: “Hey, he got what he deserved, JR. He got the win, he should have just played it smart and ran to his locker room before bad stuff happen. Well it just happened.”
X-WCW goes to a commercial break as RNR leave a laid out TC inside the ring.
Backstage
X-WCW returns from the break and we see Xille and Flash Stryker walking down the hallways and apparently going to ringside where…
Ringside
The fans are cheering and we hear the voiceovers of JR and RK.
JR: “Welcome back to Doubleshot! Right now we hear that there are going to be some special guests appearing here at ringside.”
RK: “Seeing the X-Tron you would think it’s Xille and Flash Stryker.”
Just then “Speed Demon” by Michael Jackson hits the PA systems and Flash Stryker comes out to a positive response. He walks down the aisle and slaps some hands of the ringside patrons before sliding into the ring.
THII: “Making his way to the ring, FLASH STRYKER!!!”
The fans continue to cheer and a ‘welcome back’ chant fills the air as he poses near the turnbuckle. Just then, we hear “high wire escape artist” by Boysetfire and Xille enters the ringside area with the same reception as Flash Stryker.
THII: “From Lancaster, Ohio, XILLE!!!”
The fans continue to cheer as Xille runs down the ramp and slides into the ring. He climbs up the corner quickly and poses for the fans as well. Both men leave the corner and the music is cut. Xille and Stryker get separate microphones as the fans continue to cheer and give them a “welcome back” chant.
X: “X-WCW, two of the most high flying and exciting wrestlers are BACK in this ring and you cannot deny that!”
Stryker claps while the fans do a big pop.
FS: “As Xille said, the two of us are back here with a vengeance. If anyone wants to know why, it’s because at Ground Zero fo..”
“Listen…”
“IT’S TIME!”
”You know its time for Revolution (IT’S TIME!)”
“I give it proper execution (TIME!)”
“Cause you’re a broken institution (IT’S TIME!)”
“And I’m the natural evolution”
Xille and Stryker are confused and look at the stage to see John Crook looking pissed off.
JC: “STOP THIS! STOP IT RIGHT NOW! CUT THE MUSIC!”
The fans boo and seconds after Crook’s ringside arrival, the members of the Revolution stand behind him and are looking menacingly at the ring.
JC: “We know why you two are here, Xille and Stryker. If it’s not obvious already to you or the fans, I figured it all out! Xille’s name starts with X while Stryker’s surname starts with S. At Ground Zero IV, Stryker, we know that you two are Team XS…and what excuse will you tell us now, you two are NOT Team X-S?”
Inside the ring, Stryker shakes his head.
FS: “Mr. Crook, I’ll be honest when I say that we are NOT Team X-S. We are going to be the special guest referee and time keeper of the main eve…”
He is cut off yet again as John Crook interjects.
JC: “BULLSHIT! Your names are too coincidental to say you are not Team X-S. Xille and Stryker, you guys should have waited for Ground Zero IV to come along instead of going here tonight.”
JC looks behind him and smirks at the sight of “The Renegade” Ron Michaels, Powermaster, and Bombshell.
JC: “Boys…GET THEM!”
The three Revolution members sprint down the ramp and hit the ring. Xille and Stryker try to fight the three inside the ring. Powermaster and Bombshell beat down on Xille while Stryker and Renegade are going at it.
JR: “What the hell is going on?!”
RK: “Don’t you get it JR? John Crook just figured out who the members of team X-S are! Xille and Flash Stryker! Yeah, it makes sense to me now!”
Xille fights back on the corner against the duo of PMP and BS while Stryker dropkicks TRRM down to the mat. While all the action in the ring is happening, we see RNR run down the rampway and sliding into the ring armed with folded steel chairs. Flash Stryker notices Brett Rayne making a beeline for it on him but it is too late. Brett Rayne slams the chair over the head of Stryker and he falls down. R.E. Rage meanwhile sees Xille being backed into the corner by the tag team formerly known as Powerbomb. BS and PMP restrain Xille as R.E. Rage swings the chair and connects onto the face of Xille.
JR: “RNR have just made it down to ringside and bah gawd the revolution has seemingly won this 5 on 2!!! They are despicable, outnumbering the competition and all.”
RK: “Hey, if Xille and Stryker ARE Team X-S, what better time for the Revolution to go down ringside and beat them up than before the match? Remember, if they would interfere at the tag team match…OH S***!”
RK is cut off as we see Brett Rayne and R.E. Rage delivering a con-chair-to on Flash Stryker. FS falls down crumpled on the mat while the fans boo what is going on in the ring. They roll Xille to the center of the ring and haul him to his feet as well for RNR to deliver the sweeping beauty where Rage dose a calf kick while Brett Rayne delviers a leg sweep. Soon enough, we see Tony Bonito emerge at ringside and he and JC confidently walk down the rampway together.
JR: “Look at Bonito and Crook, they are all smiles now. Now that they have the alleged team X-S fallen in that ring, they feel they will be winners coming this PPV.”
Tony Bonito gets into the ring while Crook takes his time and seems to be eating up the crowd’s negative response for The Revolution. The rest of the Revolution stand aside as Bonito glares at Flash Stryker and Xille. He shouts at TRRM to haul up Flash Styker and he does. Bonito sneaks up behind Stryker and slams him down with the Nitoplex. Xille is pulled up to a vertical base and he too shares the same fate of Stryker via a Nitoplex.
JR: “Tony Bonito and the Revolution, just dissecting both Xille and Stryker inside that ring!”
RK: “Man I think that John Crook and the rest of the Revolution are liking this, JR.”
Xille and Stryker are both unceremoniously dumped out of the ring while the revolution members stay in the ring. There, John Crook picks up a spare mic and looks at the stage.
JC: “Cane, you see what the Revolution just did to your precious Team X-S?! LOOK AT IT! THEY WERE DESTROYED! THEY WERE DECIMATED! You were stupid to let them enter the arena before Ground Zero IV, and now your chance of revenge has gone away. Now what would you want to say about this?”
JC and the rest of the Revolution watch as Cane’s image appears on the X-Tron and actually has a smile.
CD: “What I have to say is this Crook, never jump to conclusions. It just so happened that the names of Xille and Flash ring X-S to people. However, they were who they said they were. They are not Team X-S. Hell, they don’t even KNOW who Team X-S is. I know who the two people are, but we just have to wait till Ground Zero IV. Looks like you lose this round Crook.”
Cane laughs at the X-Tron as Doubleshot cuts to commercials.

The footage fades to black.
TRD vs John Crook
Doubleshot comes back to the ringside area where we see THII inside the ring for tonight’s main event.
THII: “The following singles match is scheduled for one fall with a 20 minute time limit.”
"Critical Acclaim" by Avenged Sevenfold blares through the speakers and The Real Deal makes his entrance to ringside. He is greeted by mostly cheers from the crowd as he strolls down the aisle.
THII: “Introducing first, form Music City USA, he is the nTo member: THE REAL DEAL!!!”
JR: “Welcome back ladies and gentlemen to Doubleshot! Right now we will have the main event for the evening. It’s gonna be The Real Deal taking on John Crook.”
RK: “Man, just because Crook got a win over the Baller brothers last time doesn’t mean he has to go through with this ‘practice match’ tonight with TRD. TRD is not an easy walk in the park for Crook JR. As you can see he is huge.”
JR: “There is no doubt about the imposing size and strength of TRD, King. But I too doubt the decision of one John Crook for this match. What is he going to get out of this tonight?”
RK: “I know what he’s gonna get, badly beaten by this hoss entering the ring.”
TRD slides into the ring and he makes his way towards the corner. He climbs up and poses for the fans who are in attendance for tonight’s show. TRD climbs down and does some light stretching as he awaits his opponent.
“Listen…”
“IT’S TIME!”
”You know its time for Revolution (IT’S TIME!)”
“I give it proper execution (TIME!)”
“Cause you’re a broken institution (IT’S TIME!)”
“And I’m the natural evolution”
John Crook comes out to the sound of loud boos and jeers from the capacity crowd while his theme song plays on the speakers.
THII: “And his opponent, Revolution member and the X-WCW’s CEO…JOHN CROOK!!!”
Crook makes his way confidently down the aisle and even gives the fans some high fives on his way to the ring.
JR: “Well as much as I admire him being inter-personal with some of the audience here tonight, I don’t think having a one on one match with a real wrestler is a good idea.”
RK: “We have been talkin about that since the start of the show, as much as a 2-0 record going into Ground Zero IV would be nice for Crook, I think it would be nicer if he would just stick to tag matches where he has some backup. Honestly JR, he’s gonna kill himself here in this match.”
John Crook has a confident grin on his face as he makes his slow entrance into the wrestling ring. Just like the last time he was in the ring, he is wearing some dark jogging pants and a tanktop for his ring gear. Crook looks at TRD across the ring and even laughs at the opponent, further infuriating the nTo member from the other side of the ring.
RK: “I don’t think laughing at your opponent is a good idea either.”
JR: “Indeed it is not, King. It is very much not a good idea at all especially when you only have one wrestling match in your belt when the other has about 20 or more on the table.”
The bell rings and both men go to the center of the ring. John Crook extends his hand to TRD for a handshake but TRD swats the hand away. John Crook wastes no time and responds with some hard punches to the body. Well if by hard punches the write means punches that John Crook would consider being hard but to TRD just some annoyingly weak punches on his abdominals. TRD shrugs it off and delivers a hard haymaker that sends John Crook to the mat.
RK: “Ow! That really took him off his feet JR!”
JR: “A powerful punch by the opposition known as The Real Deal.”
TRD waits for JC to get up before he delivers a well placed boot to the midsection and then whips him across the ropes. TRD catches Crook and sends him flying into the air with a flap jack. Crook lands face first on the mat and holds his face in pain. TRD hauls up his opponent and sends him into the corner. TRD follows Crook there and is going for a splash, but John Crook gets out of the way. TRD hits face first onto the turnbuckle and staggers backwards into a schoolboy pin attempt by John Crook.
RK: “Crook with the a pinfall?! 1-2-and TRD kicks out! Man he almost got that one, I think I’m starting to believe in Crook and his wrestling abilities.”
Both men get to their feet and TRD spots an incoming John Crook. He catches Crook and powerslams him to the mat. Crook groans in pain after the high impact move delivered on him and TRD hooks his leg for the pinfall.
JR: “Powerslam and a pin…1…2…and he gets a shoulder up.”
TRD shakes his head momentarily before he hauls JC to his feet. He bodyslams Crook to the mat before he goes for the ring ropes. He bounces off the ropes and delivers a legdrop right on the neck of his opponent. He bounces off the ropes for the second time and lands another leg drop on John Crook.
JR: “TRD delivers two successive leg drops on the COO of the X-WCW and I don’t think he’s done with him yet.”
RK: “Evil intentions, JR. I see evil intentions on the eyes of TRD. I can’t blame him either since this is the man responsible for helping Tony Bonito and the rest of the revolution take out his two nTo leaders during the past 2 years or so.”
TRD picks up John Crook and delivers a European uppercut that sends Crook slumping towards the nearby ring corner. There, TRD delivers some hard boots to the sternum of his opponent before Crook slumps down further on the corner. TRD uses his boot to choke the living daylights out of Crook until the referee tells him to break it up. TRD backs off and waits for Crook to be helped up by the referee. TRD sees his chance and goes for a running big boot. However, instead of Crook, he misses and hits the turnbuckle yet again. Crook capitalizes on this and delivers some hard clubs to the back of TRD’s head. TRD is now on the corner and the X-WCW’s CEO is pounding away with some boots to the midsection of his opponent.
RK: “Man, talk about a twist of fate here in this match. It’s John Crook who is seemingly in control right now.”
Crook tries to send TRD to the ropes but TRD holds on and reels Crook in with a hard kick to the ribs. TRD then sends Crook bouncing off the ropes. Crook runs towards TRD who takes him down with a big boot to the face.
JR: “Big boot by TRD and John Crook is flat on his back on the mat!”
TRD looks at the crowd and points at a recovering John Crook. They cheer as he is signaling for the end of the match. He picks up John Crook and yet again he sends him bouncing off the ropes, he tries to catch him with a boot to the face but Crook avoids it. Unfortunately for Crook and someone else, he didn’t’ avoid the next hit.
JR: “Oh goodness gracious! John Crook had to avoid that big boot but he didn’t notice that the referee was at his path. Both John Crook and senior referee Sid Green just collided and are both out cold.”
RK: “Talk about two X-WCW officials butting heads, this is a literal case.”
TRD shrugs his shoulders and just pulls John Crook to his feet. However, this would prove to be a bad move as John Crook sneaks in a low blow. TRD clutches his own ‘real deal’ and crumples to the mat after John Crook delivers a kick to the face of his opponent. Satisfied, John Crook goes to the outside of the ring and grabs the timekeeper’s chair. He slides back into the ring and waits for TRD to get to his feet.
JR: “It seems like John Crook knows how to work situations for his advantage, King. With the referee out, he has the steel chair and is ready to blast a recovering TRD.”
RK: “I swear JR, I will NOT doubt John Crook anymore with his decision to still go on and compete tonight despite the fact he has to face this Team XS with Tony Bonito. He’s one genius in and out of the ring!”
John Crook, with the chair in hand, goes towards a recovered TRD in hopes of blasting him with a chairshot. TRD avoids it with a sidestep and clotheslines John Crook off his feet. TRD picks up the steel chair and waits for John Crook to get up before he smacks it over the head of the X-WCW CEO.
JR: “THE REAL DEAL JUST BLASTED JOHN CROOK OVER THE HEAD WITH A STEEL CHAIR! OH GOOD LORD!”
The fans cheer as TRD raises the steel chair in triumph. Too bad for TRD though cause the referee was conscious already and witnessed TRD hitting Crook with the chair. As soon as the referee gets up, he signals for the bell and gives the contest to John Crook.
THII: “The winner as a result of disqualification: JOHN CROOK!”
RK: “Oh my! John Crook has done the impossible yet again JR! He is 2-0!!!”
TRD cannot believe his eyes, he shakes his head violently as the referee helps John Crook get to his feet and raise his hand in victory. John Crook shouts joyously a “YES” on his win before he could notice the fans booing at this decision.
JR: “Stranger things have happened in the past here in the X-WCW, King. However, we cannot deny that this one should be added in that list of strange events. For the first time ever, John Crook a person who is not so used as to stepping inside the ring for a match, actually won a match by his own. Will this be things to come in the PPV? With Tony Bonito’s wrestling skill and Crook’s somewhat dumb lucky, can they take on the mysterious tag team dubbed as Team XS?”
RK: “I dunno JR. Either way I still say he and Bonito will have a hard time at Ground Zero, especially since they do not know who they are facing.”
Back in the ring, John Crook is approached by TRD who seems behumbled and extends his hand for a handshake. This time it is John Crook who swats away the hand of TRD and smirks at the taller man. It would be a fatal mistake as soon as he swatted away the hand of TRD since the bigger man catches him with a boot and delivers the cut a deal finisher that lays John Crook on the ground. A fuming TRD kicks Crook while he is down before he leaves the ring. On his way up the ramp, he stops and sees Cane greeting him and telling him to head on to the back.
RK: “Man! Talk about a sore loser TRD is. So what if he didn’t accept the handshake? Get over it, not give a cheap shot! Now look at this, Cane Deathscream is now at ringside. I wonder what this guy wants to talk about now.”
In the ring, we see John Crook slowly getting to his feet while Cane Deathscream stays on the stage with a mic on his hand.
CD: “Hey John, how ya doing? How does it feel to win again?”
CD makes a mock applause as Crook is up and looks rather out of it as CD smiles.
CD: “Great, I’m glad you feel good after getting laid out by TRD. Listen here, on Ground Zero IV: The Return, let me state again that it’s you and Tony Bonito against Team XS. Now I see you survive and won against Karl and CJ Baller on Warzone. Hell you even survived tonight against TRD. But on Ground Zero, you will take on the MOST DANGEROUS AND DEADLY pair in the history of the X-WCW. They are twice as powerful as TRD. They are ten times more destructive than any X-WCW tag team you have seen in the past. And as I’ve said, they aren’t even Xille or Stryker. So no matter how lucky you are or how good Bonito is…you two have no chance in hell winning at Ground Zero.”
John Crook sneers at the sight of Cane Deathscream who now starts to laugh on the mic.
CD: “All I can tell you now Johnny boy is this…Good luck. You and Bonito will sorely need it!”
“Deadly Game” hits and Cane Deathscream leaves the ringside area laughing.
JR: “King, I think John Crook may be infuriated by Cane’s words but I don’t think he is just mad.”
RK: “Yeah. When Cane said Team XS is the most dangerous and deadly, a few names come to mind. Yet again the mind games continue here by Team XS through Cane Deathscream.”
JR: “Folks our time is up. Please tune in back here for our PPV special Ground Zero IV: The Return where we will FINALLY get to know who this mysterious Team XS really is. For Randal King, this is James Russell, SEE YOU AT GROUND ZERO!!!”
Doubleshot goes off the air as John Crook stares blankly at the stage.

CR: “Folks, X-WCW’s Ground Zero IV will be live on pay-per-view. So what are you waiting for? Call your local cable provider and order it now!”
