X-WCW Doubleshot goes on air and the stage pyros explode…on stage. The capacity crowd are on their feet as the camera pans over them. The camera goes to the announce booth with James Russell and….uhm..James Russell!!
JR: “WELCOME EVERYONE TO DOUBLESHOT! Tonight we are here at the MCI center, THE VENUE for Ground Zero 3! Hi everyone this is James Russell and my co-announcer Randal King will be in action on the first event. Before we go to the first match, let us take you to X-WCW studios with Cole Ryan.”

We go to the studio to see Cole Ryan on standby.
CR: “Hello everyone, this is Cole Ryan! Tonight, we will show YOU the full X-WCW Ground Zero 3 Card.”

CR: “During Ground Zero 2, Wolfang became the FIRST X-WCW UW champ. This time around, he will defend the US title against X-WCW resident speed demon, Flash Stryker. Can the vet keep his title? Or will Stryker pull a huge upset?”

Six Man War Elimination Match
Blaster vs Grandmaster E vs D-Extreme vs Tony Bonito vs Christopher Back vs Divebomb (c)
CR: “And on our main event, its gonna be a 6 man elimination match between 6 of X-WCW’s top stars. Who is gonna be the X-WCW UW champ after this night? All I know is, its gonna be 6 possiblities.”
CR points at the camera and says a few words.
CR: “So far, that’s our card for the PPV. But the night is still young on Doubleshot..so WHO KNOWS what more matches we can expect. Well, back to you JR!”

We go back to ringside where we see Randal King inside the ring dressed in wrestling gear. He has a mic on his hand as he wears a huge grin on his face.
RK: “Ladies and gentlemen, tonight marks my 15th year of retirement. Now even though I have been out of action for that long, the BoD thought it would be great to give you all what you want, ME WRESTLING! HAHAHA! Anyway enough about me, tonight, its gonna be an OPEN challenge night. In other words, anyone from the backstage area can now enter the ringside area if he or she chooses to face me tonight.”
RK looks at the stage and awaits for his challenge. The lights go out for a short while. While the lights go back slowly, “Must be the music” hits the PA System and RK has a shocked look on his face. On the stage, we see a hooded man using the turntables to play the music. He puts it on autoplay and holds a mic in his other hand. He uses his free hand to take off the hood to reveal himself.
JR: “BAH GAWD! GRANDMASTER E IS ON RINGSIDE!”
The fans cheer for GE before he stops playing his music through the turntables.
GE: “Since you said ANYONE can accept your challenge, King, I thought that I’d answer it. You see I’ve been hearing a lot of negative rep on me through your big mouth. Tonight, I’ll be more than happy to accept your challenge and force-feed my boot up your mouth!”
The fans cheer as GE slowly makes his way down the ramp. He enters the ring and the referee signals the match to start
Grandmaster E vs Randal King
As the bell rings, we see RK charging towards GE. GE takes him down with a drop toe hold and waits for him to get up. RK gets to his feet, GE kicks him on the gut and sets him up for the Master Blaster. RK somehow wriggles out of it and backs himself on the nearest corner and begs off to GE. GE laughs a bit as he approaches RK. However, RK hits him with a hard forearm to the face. GE staggers back as RK climbs to the second rope.
JR: “IT seems like Randal is going for his secondary finisher..the crowning.”
RK launches himself off the ropes for a double axe-handle smash on GE. Alas, GE catches him by the throat and takes him down with a chokeslam
JR: “CHOKESLAM! CHOKESLAM! Randal is down and Grandmaster E goes for the pin 1..2…3! Its over, sorry King but you shouldn’t be wrestling anymore.”
TH: “THE WINNER, GRANDMASTER E!!!”
GE’s music hits as the referee raises his hand in the air.
JR: “I hope after losing to GE, King would have learned a lesson. That lesson being, never badmouth a wrestler, someday, it might backfire on you.”
GE stays in the ring and he helps RK to his feet. RK starts talking to GE about something and GE just nods. RK turns around to leave the ring, however, GE grabs him by the shoulder and tells him to stay for a while.
JR: “I wonder why Grandmaster E wants Randal to stay there.”
GE extends his hand to RK and RK smiles while he accepts the gesture from Grandmaster E. RK holds onto the hand after the shake and raises GE’s arm in the air.
JR: “Well I be damned! Those two got along at last..and to think I thought King’s ego was too big to do this. Ladies and gentlemen, we will go to a commercial break but stay tuned cause we still have more action coming at ya!”
X-WCW goes to a commercial break as both men remain in the ring with their arms raised high and the fans cheering.
X-WCW TV Championship
Xille vs R.E. Rage(c)
We go back to ringside as we begin the introductory rights to the following match.
TH: “The following X-WCW Television Title match is scheduled for one fall.”
“It's so real”
”How I Feel”
”'Cause this society”
”That makes a man wanna kill”
JR: “Welcome back to DOUBLESHOT! Right now, it’s the TV title between R.E. Rage and Xille. These two men have clashing styles when it comes to their ring moves, so its gonna be interesting!”
Xille comes out from the curtains and stands on the stage for a while to dust off his boots.
TH: “Introducing first, from Lancaster, OH….XILLE!!!”
Xille looks at the ring and darts off towards it. The fans give Xille a surprisingly good response as he runs down the ramp. He slides into the ring and heads to the top turnbuckle. He poses for the crowd in a few before he backflips himself down to the mat.
RK: “Whoa JR! Did you see what he did?!”
JR: “What the?..Youre here already?”
RK: “I’ve been here since Xille made his way down the ramp. You didn’t notice me?”
JR: “Strangely, yes..I didn’t notice you there. Nice to have you back though.”
RK: “I share the same sentiment.”
“I AM IT!”
The pyros explode on stage as we hear another voice.
“BREAK!”
“Tear away” by Drowning Pool hits as R.E. Rage enters the ringside area. He stops on the stage and raises the X-WCW TV belt in the air while the gold sparkles shower the stage.
TH: “And his opponent, he is the X-WCW Television Champion…R.E. RAGE!!!”
As the gold sparklers die down, Rage makes his way down the ramp. On his way down the ramp, he gets one hell of a rude reception by the crowd. Rage, as usual, ignores the fans disdain on him and continues his merry way down the ramp. Once he hits the ring, he climbs up to the second rope and raises his X-WCW TV title proudly.
RK: “I wonder why they cheer for Xille tonight and STILL show disrespect for this man right here? I don’t get it, JR! Arent they technically BOTH bad guys?”
JR: “I guess your theory of fickled fans might be true then, King. *snickers*”
RK: “What the hell is so funny?”
JR: “nothing.”
Rage hands over the belt to the referee before he looks at X and starts to badmouth him from the other side of the ring. The referee hands over the belt to the outside while Rage continues to trash talk on Xille, who just stands there and shakes his head.
JR: “Rage is just showing how unsportsmanlike he is right here.”
RK: “No he is NOT! He is just motivating Xille, who has the same attention span as his former partner Ignavus.”
The bell rings and both men go to the center of the ring. Rage strangely extends his hand to Xille. Xille just looks at the hand for a while before he slowly extends him. Before he could even hold Rage’s hand, Rage goes for a kick, which Xille grabs. Xille delivers a couple of punches to Rage’s face before he lets go of Rage’s leg and takes the TV champ down with a standing dropkick.
JR: “Rage almost got away with another cheap shot, but Xille took care of him quickly with his quick thinking.”
RK: “Atleast Xille can do something he needs to do in the ring. Unlike..oh I dunno…Ignavus?”
Rage gets to his feet and he is whipped into the ropes by Xille. Xille catches him with a deep armdrag and locks on an armlock on the ground. R.E. Rage slowly gets to his feet and reverses the submission done by Xille. He kicks Xille on the gut and lets go before he delivers a clothesline. Xille goes down momentarily and Rage kicks him hard on the head while he is on the ground, to obviously draw some heel heat.
JR: “Oh that is just SO nice of Rage to do to Xille.”
Rage picks up Xille and sends him into the corner. Rage follows him there, but once Xille hits the corner, he floats over Rage. Rage turns around and he is met by a spinning leg lariat by Xille. Xille bounces off the ropes and delivers a basement dropkick to the side of the head of Rage. Rage rolls to the outside and tries to regroup for a while. Xille starts to stomp around on the inside of the ring before he runs towards the ropes and launches himself to the outside. Before Rage could react, Xille crashes down on him on the outside.
JR: “Suicide dive!”
RK: “The more I notice it, I think Xille is out of his mind just to prove a point of how much effort he is taking in his matches.”
The referee starts to count both men on the outside as they slowly get to their feet. Rage is the first one to get up and he smacks Xille on the face with a couple of elbows. Rage grabs Xille by the head and slams him face first into the steel steps. Xille is rolled into the ring by Rage before Rage goes to the apron. The X-WCW Television champ starts to make his way to the top rope as Xille is slowly getting to his feet.
JR: “R.E. Rage is standing on the top turnbuckle and he seems intent on doing something there.”
RK: “Surely you know he is gonna show Xille how to do something GREAT on the top rope.”
Rage launches himself off the top rope, but Xille is there to great him with a dropkick. Xille picks up Rage and kicks him right on the gut. Xille has Rage on his grasps and lands a DDT on the TV champ. Rage goes down and Xille drags him to the nearby ropes. Xille runs towards the other side of the ring and bounces off the ropes. He jumps over Rage before he connects a springboard corkscrew moonsault.
RK: “HOLY COW!!! HOW THE HELL DID HE DO THAT?!”
JR: “This may not be ROH, King, but Xille surely is showing how good he is in pulling off high risk moves. He pins Rage 1…2..NO! Rage gets a shoulder up.”
Xille smacks his hands on the mat a few times in frustration before he picks up Rage. Rage takes him by surprise with a face rake. As Xille staggers back, Rage reels him in for a two-hit knee strike to the gut before he finishes it up with a snap suplex. Rage gets to his feet and has a huge grin on his face as he waits for Xille to get up. As Xille slowly gets to his feet, Rage starts to smack him around on the head. Rage helps him get up and he hits a European uppercut on Xille. Xille backs up on the corner and Rage delivers a barrage of punches and kicks at the former member of default.
JR: “Rage makes his way to the apron and he starts climbing on the corner.”
RK: “You know whats up next huh JR?”
JR: “We see Rage pull this move off numerous times, King. OF COURSE I KNOW WHATS GONNA HAPPEN NEXT!”
Once Rage is on the top turnbuckle, he delivers a corner rocker dropper on Xille. Rage hooks Xille up for the pin, but Xille kicks out at two.
RK: “WHAT?! Rage pulled that move off to perfection, yet he kicked out?!”
JR: “That is just resiliency being shown by Xille, King.”
Rage gets up and starts to argue with the referee. While the champ continues his argument, Xille is seen getting to his feet. As soon as Rage is finished, he turns around, only to get one hard punch in the face by Xille. Xille follows it up with a couple more before he sends Rage to the ropes. As soon as Rage bounces off the ropes, Xille leapfrogs over him. Rage rebounds for the second time and he is caught by a single leg takedown. Xille waits for Rage to get up before he runs towards him. Xille goes for a hurracanrana, but Rage converts it into a sit-down powerbomb. After he pulls it off, both Xille and himself are down on the mat.
JR: “Rage made a desperate move and it connects. However, I think it took a lotta steam outta our tv champ.”
RK: “I know it did, JR. But I got a feeling that Rage will still win this match. There is NO way he can lose this!”
The referee starts to count both men while they are down. A few seconds later, both men crawl onto opposite sides of the ring. They both get to their feet at the same time to null the standing 10 count by the ref. Xille sees Rage and runs towards him. Rage spots Xille charging at him and tries to deliver a clothesline. Xille slides under him and goes to the outside. As Rage turns around to catch a glimpse of Xille, The X grabs him and hotshots him onto the top rope. Rage stumbles around in the ring as Xille makes his way to the apron.
JR: “Rage is on spaghetti legs right now, King, and I dunno what Xille has in mind.”
RK: “If I know him, its something crazy.”
Xille springs himself from the apron and makes his way to the ring. However, Rage somehow takes him out with a kick to the chin.
JR: “REVERSE CRESENT KICK ON XILLE! Bah gawd!”
RK: “Now that is amazing! It looks like Xille wanted to do a Shelton Benjamin on Rage, but Rage somehow pulled of a Shawn Michaels on that move.”
Xille goes down flat on the mat while Rage is down on his knees. Rage crawls onto the fallen Xille and rolls him over for the pin.
JR: “Here comes the count 1…2…thr-XILLE GETS AN ARM UP!!!”
RK: “DAMN IT! DAMN XILLE AND HIS HUGE HEART!”
Rage slowly gets to his feet and picks up Xille. He sets him up for the Revolver shot, but Xille blocks the attempt with his free leg. Xille then uses his free leg to deliver multiple knee strikes to Rage so he can let go of him. Eventually, Rage lets go and Xille kicks him on the gut area before he delivers a sit-down facebuster. Xille collapses on the fallen Rage and the referee counts for the pin.
JR: “Heres the pin, 1..2..NO! Rage got a shoulder up!”
RK: “YES!”
Xille uses the ropes to pull himself up his feet. Rage, meanwhile, crawls towards the nearest corner. Xille is up and he runs towards the corner where Rage is resting on. Rage sees Xille and he gets out of the way. Rage turns around to look at the corner and receives a kick from Xille, who is on the second turnbuckle. Xille grabs Rage by the head and he delivers the Last Mile.
JR: “LAST MILE! LAST MILE!! Rage is down and Xille pins Rage 1…2…3! Its over, king!”
RK: “DAMN IT! DAMN IT! OH MY GAWD! DAMMIT!”
The bell rings and “Lapdance” hits the speakers to signal Xille’s win.
TH: “The winner and NEW X-WCW Television champion…XILLE!!!”
The referee helps Xille get to his feet and hands him the TV title. R.E. Rage, rolls out of the ring and gets up. He looks at Xille, who is inside the ring, with disdain on my face before he leaves the ringside area.
JR: “Tonight, a champion has been made here on Doubleshot.”
RK: “Oh well, at least it wasn’t Ignavus.”
Xille snatches the TV title from the referee’s hands and raises it in victory. He goes to the top turnbuckle and poses with the TV title before he hears his music getting cut. Xille jumps down from the turnbuckle and wonders what has happened. Before he could approach the referee about this, “Clint Eastwood” by Gorillaz hits the speakers.
JR: “Well I’ll be…its Ignavus.”
Ignavus enters the ringside area to the delight of the crowd. The Almighty Slacker has a mic on his hands and he looks at Xille. Xille, inside the ring, points at Ignavus before he gets a mic of his own.
X: “So, you decided to rain on my parade right now huh Igz? You knew that I will win this and you just hog up the glory like you did when we were a tag team. Let me tell you this…you better get outta here right now and let me savour my victory..or I’ll just go right there and beat you up till you bleed!”
RK: “Ooh! I think Xille has a motive right now. Lets see what the monkey has to say about that.”
Igz: “Xille, don’t get me wrong now. I would have come outta here even if you lost to R.E. Rage. Infact, I came out here to congratulate you in being the new X-WCW TV Champ. However, my main reason in going out here, is to challenge you at Ground Zero. You wanna beat me up till I bleed? Well how about we fight in a first blood match? So my former comrade…what is your say? Are you up to the challenge of a first blood match?”
X: “Hah. Well then, you don’t have to ask it twice. If given the opportunity to fight you..you know it’s a YES!”
Igz: “I see then. Well Xille, see you at Washington.”
The fans cheer as Ignavus leaves the ringside area.
JR: “King! Did you just hear that?!”
RK: “Xille vs Ignavus in a first blood match! That sounds nice to me! Not only will I see those two beating the other man up…they are gonna try to make the other man bleed as well!”
JR: “Folks, we will be back right after these messages.”
X-WCW goes to a commercial break as Xille looks at the stage before he leaves the ring.
Big Dog vs Stryker
“Stupefy” plays on the PA system, and Big Dog arrives on stage, receiving a loud boo from the crowd.
TH: “The following contest is set for one fall! Introducing first: BIG DOG!”
Big Dog walks to the ring with sinister intent.
And a moment later, “Speedway” hits, and Flash Stryker appears on stage, soliciting a loud cheer as he does so.
TH: “And his opponent: FLASH STRYKER!”
Flash Stryker points at the ring, and starts to run towards it.
As soon as he hits the ring, both men waste no time in tying up. After a few seconds, no clear strength advantage is gained, so BD breaks the tie up with a few knee lifts, then he places Stryker in a pump handle predicament, lifting him into a modified backbreaker! Without hesitation, BD goes for a fast pinfall attempt!
RK: “1…. 2…. NOT YET!”
JR: “Stryker gets an 11 out of 10 for his resilience in these situations, and he’ll need it to overcome Big Dog’s slight size advantage!”
Stryker gets up, but BD resumes his attack right away. He whips Stryker into the right ropes, and on Stryker’s rebound, BD catches him and lifts him into a side backbreaker! BD goes for another pin.
RK: “1…. 2…. LATE!”
JR: “All Spaceballs quotes aside, Stryker’s not that easy to beat! He’s only ever one move away from taking any match!”
Stryker gets up again, and as BD tries another Irish whip toward the back ropes, Stryker reverses it, flooring BD with a double foot dropkick on the rebound. Stryker springs up again; bouncing off the front ropes and hitting BD with a stiff knee drop to the abdomen. Stryker then goes for a pinfall of his own.
RK: “1…. 2…. KICK OUT!”
JR: “And Big Dog’s no easybeat either! He’s made a pretty big impact in our company since his arrival many months ago!”
BD gets up, but as soon as he stands upright, Stryker’s back on the offensive. Stryker takes a few steps back, and then he launches into a hurricanranna, bringing BD right back down into a pinning predicament.
RK: “1…. 2…. CLOSE!”
JR: “It’s not over yet! Not by a damn sight! These two could go at it for hours at this rate!”
RK: “It could be good for our ratings, JR!”
JR: “This is Doubleshot, and we’re on community TV, King!”
RK: “Sorry!”
JR: “I’ll spare you the hazing this time!”
BD gets up, but as Stryker charges at him for another attack; BD brings him down face first with a drop toehold. Almost immediately, BD locks Stryker in an inverted STF! His ring positioning for the hold is ideal: all the ropes are out of Stryker’s reach.
RK: “This could be it if Stryker gives up!”
JR: “Though I still can’t see that happening just yet!”
After nearly 30 seconds in the hold, Stryker shows signs of fighting back. Despite the referee’s repeated prompts, he resists the urge to tap out, and instead he tries to roll over to the left.
BD, however, stops the movement, but Stryker suddenly rolls back to his right, taking BD over with him and reaching the front ropes. This causes BD to release the hold, and slowly but surely, Stryker rises again.
Once Stryker is up, BD whips him face first into the back right corner, and once Stryker turns to face BD, BD is already charging at him with a stiff back elbow smash! The blow finds its mark, and as Stryker smarts from the impact, BD launches into a charging shoulder attempt.
However, Stryker manages to drop to his right, causing BD to slam his shoulder right into the turnpost. With BD in pain, Stryker straightens him up against the turnbuckles, mounting them and nailing BD with a flurry of punches.
The crowd cheers, and counts the punches – “1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10!” – as they happen. However, BD has recovered to some degree by this point, and with a mighty push, BD hurls Stryker down to the mat.
BD quickly grabs Stryker’s legs, catapulting him right back into the turnbuckles – and almost out of the ring – before catching the rebounding Stryker from behind and hitting him with an atomic drop. Stryker staggers around the ring for a few moments, enabling BD to catch him and hit his finisher – The Doghouse Delivery – on him!
BD goes for what he thinks will be the final pinfall of the match.
RK: “1…. 2…. How the hell did Flash Stryker kick out of that?”
JR: “With great difficulty, but the fans love it! Listen to them!”
The fans start a “Let’s go Flash!” chant as Stryker gets to his feet. BD tries to lock Stryker in a sleeper hold, but Stryker drops out of it with a stiff jawbreaker.
Stryker hears the crowd chanting, and as BD smarts from the pain of the jawbreaker, Stryker stands right up, booting the stumbling BD in the gut and nailing him with a double underhook powerbomb!
RK: “That’s odd: Flash Stryker’s never been known for such power moves before!”
JR: “Well, Big Dog’s pretty powerful, so Stryker’s got to do whatever it takes!”
But Stryker doesn’t go for the pinfall right away. Instead, he waits for BD to get up, booting him in the gut once more and nailing him with another strong move: a double underhook piledriver!
And Stryker resists the temptation to pin BD once more. He signals for the Drag Strip, whipping the fans into a frenzy in the process!
RK: “NOW he wants to hit the Drag Strip!”
JR: “If this was a baseball game, I’d say Big Dog was about to strike out!”
RK: “With the powerbomb as Strike One and the piledriver as Strike Two, I’ll bet!”
JR: “That’s right!”
BD staggers to his feet, and Stryker is upon him immediately. He hooks BD’s arms for the third time, reversing toward the back left turnbuckles, then he climbs them and hits the Drag Strip from the top rope!
RK: “STRIKE THREE! It looks like Big Dog’s out!”
JR: “And Stryker’s going for the pin!”
RK: “1…. 2…. 3! STRYKER WINS!”
JR: “And what a gutsy win it was! The fans are on their feet!”
The crowd cheers loudly as Stryker raises his arms in victory.
TH: “Here’s your winner: FLASH STRYKER!”
JR: “What a nice, even match-up that was!”
RK: “Just when we thought Flash Stryker was just a technical high-flying type of wrestler, he goes out and shows us that he’s got some power moves on tap as well!”
JR: “And as a result, Big Dog got cut down to size!”
RK: “It would appear so! He’s not moving at all!”
A few EMTs come rushing down to assist the downed BD.
JR: “Those moves would hurt a lot, so this is a reasonable course of action to take!”
RK: “And there’s a lot more action on the way, so stay tuned for that!”
Sandy Drake and Renegade Pre-Match Face Off
Doubleshot goes back from the commercial break and we hear “Behind those eyes” fill in the stereo systems of the arena floor. Sandy Drake comes out from the back and he does the superhero pose to the crowd. The fans give him a good response as he dashes down the ramp, while slapping a few hands to boot, and slides into the ring.
JR: “Welcome back to Doubleshot, folks. Before the show began, Sany Drake expressed interest in having a face off between his opponent for the ppv.”
RK: “I guess he wants to see who is gonna break his face in half, JR.”
Drake grabs the mic from the mat and the fans start to cheer him. Which is weird, since he hasn’t said anything yet.
SD: “Tonight, is the night! Renegade come out here and lets have a talk.”
“Hurt” by Johnny Cash plays on the PA systems and Renegade makes his way to the ringside area. The fans quickly boo the Renegade on his way down the ramp.
RK: “Ask, and you shall receive! But I hope Sandy doesn’t get the short end of his demands and gets beatedn to a pulp by this guy. Renegade, is one tough SOB.”
JR: “Yes, so tough, he carried TG Stylez and FP to win a match.”
RK: “SEE! That doesn’t only take guts, JR! IT TAKES BALLS!!!”
Drake smirks at Renegade as both men are now in the ring.
SD: “I’m glad to see you actually came here Renegade. I thought you’re a big chicken and will just hide behind the higher up’s pants. Now on our match I am gonn-”
Before Sandy Drake could continue, Renegade snatches the mic from him. Which draws a loud ‘oooohhh!’ from the crowd.
R: “Now lets get this over with son. You say you wanna talk with me right here in this ring? Here I am. Now let me tell you something, I don’t need to go here in the first place and waste my time with you jabbering about our match on Ground Zero. Cause quite frankly, ah don’t give a damn about YOU! Quite frankly, your just a big waste of my time! And another thing, you wanna ask about my GAME PLAN on our match? Its just plain simple, son, I kick your ass, its over. End of story! You think you got a shot at beating me? THE RENEGADE? I won a 6-man tag by carrying two of my partners! Obviously it was a 3-on-1 at the start of the match and I was the one and I beaten three men in that ring. How about you Sandy? What did you do? You did nothing! You just defeated a sexually depraved tall black guy in the ring!”
RK: “hahaha…oh wait, he is talking about bruno!”
R: “So son, what the hell you wanna say now?”
Renegade tosses the mic at Drake, who catches it.
SD: “Nothing much, Renegade. I’m glad to hear what you said. Honestly, you just answered everything I had to ask about you and our match. Only one thing is wrong here..you wont win! Its gonna be me, THE YOUNG ONE, who is gonna kick your ass on Ground Zero 3. So Renegade, don’t you forget the fact that I’m young..and your not”
Drake laughs at Renegade and turns to the crowd. As Drake has his back turned Renegade attacks him from behind.
JR: “Oh what a cheap shot at Sandy Drake there by the renegade!”
RK: “What are you talking about? Drake deserves every bit of this!”
Renegade continues his assault on Sandy Drake while a couple of Road Agents storm into the ring and break up the fight. X-WCW goes to a commercial break.
Best of Five Series (Match 5)
Steel Cage Match
PowerBomb vs StarStorm
“n-T-o” hits the speakers, followed closely by “End of Everything”. Before long, both members of StarStorm make their entrance, receiving a huge boo from the crowd upon doing so.
TH: “The following is the final match in a Best of Five series, and the team that escapes the cage first shall be declared the winner! Introducing first, representing the nTo: STARSTORM!”
The booing gets even louder – and a chant of “No Talent Order!” breaks out – as StarStorm enter the already caged ring through the unlocked door.
A moment later, “Rollin’” hits, and the team of PowerBomb make their way out, receiving a huge cheer from the fans in attendance.
TH: “And their opponents: POWERBOMB!”
PowerBomb enter the ring, and the cage door is locked behind them.
The referee calls for the bell, and as soon as it rings, the battle is on. Powermaster mans up against Raven Darkstorm, and Bombshell goes after Vanth Dreadstar, and all competitors exchange punches for the first 15 seconds of the match.
After this, PM and Raven find themselves in the front left corner, and BS and Vanth end up in the back right corner. With this, the PowerBomb members try to whip the StarStorm members into a collision course, but the move is reversed, sending PM and BS crashing into each other.
As the PowerBomb members stumble backward after the impact, the StarStorm members capitalise on this by hitting synchronised atomic drops on their opposite numbers, bringing them both to the mat.
And with equal speed, Raven and Vanth proceed to climb to the top of the cage, but they are both brought crashing to the mat by PM and BS before they reach the halfway mark.
RK: “Knowing the history between these two teams of late, JR, we could be in for a long match-up!”
JR: “Not if StarStorm have anything to say about it, King! They wanted out, and fast!”
PowerBomb seize the initiative. PM and BS attack their opposite numbers with another flurry of blows, and before long, PM and Raven tie up. This tie up doesn’t last long, though, as PM – being the much larger combatant – throws him to the mat as if he were a small boy.
JR: “He was just thrown like he was just a rag doll, king.”
Meanwhile, BS has placed Vanth in a hammerlock, and he presses Vanth’s face against the cage wall, walking along the edge and raking Vanth’s face with the steel mesh. Upon reaching the back left corner, Vanth is bleeding, and BS rams Vanth headfirst into the turnbuckle a number of times. At the same time, PM has lifted Raven into a torture rack position, and is walking around the ring with him on his shoulders. After a few seconds, PM drops Raven into an F-5 style manoeuvre, sending Raven down hard. PM stands right up, and without further hesitation, he starts to climb the cage.
RK: “It looks like PowerBomb have the same idea!”
JR: “But knowing Powermaster as well as I do, I don’t think a quick getaway is his style!”
PM reaches the top of the cage, but instead of leaving it, he jumps into a huge elbow drop on the downed Raven. However, this strategy backfires: Raven is able to roll out of the way, causing PM to hit the mat awkwardly.
On the other side of the cage, Vanth continues to bleed. BS stands him up straight, slapping his right hand on Vanth’s throat and bringing him down with a nasty chokeslam!
Meanwhile, as PM is smarting from his awkward fall, Raven gets up and attacks BS from behind. This turns out to be a futile manoeuvre, as BS nails Raven with a low blow – which is perfectly legal in this match – and turns around to give him a powerbomb!
JR: “Bah Gawd! PowerBomb are right on their game tonight!”
RK: “I’m surprised StarStorm haven’t put up more of a fight!”
JR: “That’s probably because the nTo have been barred from ringside!”
RK: “Uh…. no comment!”
Both PowerBomb members climb to the top of the cage with all possible speed. Instead of escaping, though, they wait for both StarStorm members to get up once more, and once this happens, PM and BS jump onto them with stereo clotheslines!
JR: “All nTo influences aside, PowerBomb are making StarStorm look like rookies here!”
RK: “I’m at a loss to explain it too! But having said that, Vanth has lost a lot of blood!”
JR: “I think Raven’s been busted open too!”
RK: “Yes, he has!”
From this point forward, it’s a walk in the park for PowerBomb. PM and BS bring Vanth to his feet again, slapping their hands on his throat and slamming him to the mat with a powerful double chokeslam!
The fans erupt as PM and BS pick Raven up off the mat, and then they hit an equally powerful double powerbomb on the hapless Raven, before finally climbing out of the cage and winning the match.
The bell rings to end proceedings.
JR: “What an emphatic win that was! PowerBomb take the series 3-2!”
RK: “And at the same time, they’re letting Christopher Back and D-Extreme know that they kicked the wrong tag team out of the nTo!”
JR: “Good point! And with the fans firmly behind them now, they don’t need to be in a large stable to get over!”
RK: “Point taken! The fans are just eating them up! Listen!”
A “PowerBomb!” chant breaks out as Terri makes her announcement.
TH: “Here are your winners, taking the Best of Five series with a score of 3 to 2: POWERBOMB!”
The fans continue to cheer.
JR: “I think Chris and D-Extreme had better be careful! I don’t think they’re done with the nTo just yet!”
RK: “Though taking them all on at the same time would be a risky move, if you ask me!”
JR: “Though PowerBomb are in devastating form: probably the best form of their careers right now!”
RK: “You’ll get no argument from me on that!”
JR: “After what Grandmaster E did to you earlier, I don’t think you should argue either!”
RK: “Jeez! Haven’t I eaten enough humble pie for one night?”
JR: “It’s all part of life’s rich circle, King.”
RK: “True enough, JR, true enough.”
JR: “Well folks, that is all the time we have for X-WCW Doubleshot. Tune in for the X-WCW Awards presentation. For Randal King, this is James Russell..SEE YA ON GROUND ZERO 3!”
X-WCW Doubleshot goes off-air as we see the X-WCW logo fading into the black background.
JR: “WELCOME EVERYONE TO DOUBLESHOT! Tonight we are here at the MCI center, THE VENUE for Ground Zero 3! Hi everyone this is James Russell and my co-announcer Randal King will be in action on the first event. Before we go to the first match, let us take you to X-WCW studios with Cole Ryan.”

CR: “And on our main event, its gonna be a 6 man elimination match between 6 of X-WCW’s top stars. Who is gonna be the X-WCW UW champ after this night? All I know is, its gonna be 6 possiblities.”
CR points at the camera and says a few words.
CR: “So far, that’s our card for the PPV. But the night is still young on Doubleshot..so WHO KNOWS what more matches we can expect. Well, back to you JR!”

We go back to ringside where we see Randal King inside the ring dressed in wrestling gear. He has a mic on his hand as he wears a huge grin on his face.
RK: “Ladies and gentlemen, tonight marks my 15th year of retirement. Now even though I have been out of action for that long, the BoD thought it would be great to give you all what you want, ME WRESTLING! HAHAHA! Anyway enough about me, tonight, its gonna be an OPEN challenge night. In other words, anyone from the backstage area can now enter the ringside area if he or she chooses to face me tonight.”
RK looks at the stage and awaits for his challenge. The lights go out for a short while. While the lights go back slowly, “Must be the music” hits the PA System and RK has a shocked look on his face. On the stage, we see a hooded man using the turntables to play the music. He puts it on autoplay and holds a mic in his other hand. He uses his free hand to take off the hood to reveal himself.
JR: “BAH GAWD! GRANDMASTER E IS ON RINGSIDE!”
The fans cheer for GE before he stops playing his music through the turntables.
GE: “Since you said ANYONE can accept your challenge, King, I thought that I’d answer it. You see I’ve been hearing a lot of negative rep on me through your big mouth. Tonight, I’ll be more than happy to accept your challenge and force-feed my boot up your mouth!”
The fans cheer as GE slowly makes his way down the ramp. He enters the ring and the referee signals the match to start
Grandmaster E vs Randal King
As the bell rings, we see RK charging towards GE. GE takes him down with a drop toe hold and waits for him to get up. RK gets to his feet, GE kicks him on the gut and sets him up for the Master Blaster. RK somehow wriggles out of it and backs himself on the nearest corner and begs off to GE. GE laughs a bit as he approaches RK. However, RK hits him with a hard forearm to the face. GE staggers back as RK climbs to the second rope.
JR: “IT seems like Randal is going for his secondary finisher..the crowning.”
RK launches himself off the ropes for a double axe-handle smash on GE. Alas, GE catches him by the throat and takes him down with a chokeslam
JR: “CHOKESLAM! CHOKESLAM! Randal is down and Grandmaster E goes for the pin 1..2…3! Its over, sorry King but you shouldn’t be wrestling anymore.”
TH: “THE WINNER, GRANDMASTER E!!!”
GE’s music hits as the referee raises his hand in the air.
JR: “I hope after losing to GE, King would have learned a lesson. That lesson being, never badmouth a wrestler, someday, it might backfire on you.”
GE stays in the ring and he helps RK to his feet. RK starts talking to GE about something and GE just nods. RK turns around to leave the ring, however, GE grabs him by the shoulder and tells him to stay for a while.
JR: “I wonder why Grandmaster E wants Randal to stay there.”
GE extends his hand to RK and RK smiles while he accepts the gesture from Grandmaster E. RK holds onto the hand after the shake and raises GE’s arm in the air.
JR: “Well I be damned! Those two got along at last..and to think I thought King’s ego was too big to do this. Ladies and gentlemen, we will go to a commercial break but stay tuned cause we still have more action coming at ya!”
X-WCW goes to a commercial break as both men remain in the ring with their arms raised high and the fans cheering.
X-WCW TV Championship
Xille vs R.E. Rage(c)
We go back to ringside as we begin the introductory rights to the following match.
TH: “The following X-WCW Television Title match is scheduled for one fall.”

”That makes a man wanna kill”
JR: “Welcome back to DOUBLESHOT! Right now, it’s the TV title between R.E. Rage and Xille. These two men have clashing styles when it comes to their ring moves, so its gonna be interesting!”
Xille comes out from the curtains and stands on the stage for a while to dust off his boots.
TH: “Introducing first, from Lancaster, OH….XILLE!!!”
Xille looks at the ring and darts off towards it. The fans give Xille a surprisingly good response as he runs down the ramp. He slides into the ring and heads to the top turnbuckle. He poses for the crowd in a few before he backflips himself down to the mat.
RK: “Whoa JR! Did you see what he did?!”
JR: “What the?..Youre here already?”
RK: “I’ve been here since Xille made his way down the ramp. You didn’t notice me?”
JR: “Strangely, yes..I didn’t notice you there. Nice to have you back though.”
RK: “I share the same sentiment.”
“I AM IT!”
The pyros explode on stage as we hear another voice.
“BREAK!”
“Tear away” by Drowning Pool hits as R.E. Rage enters the ringside area. He stops on the stage and raises the X-WCW TV belt in the air while the gold sparkles shower the stage.
TH: “And his opponent, he is the X-WCW Television Champion…R.E. RAGE!!!”
As the gold sparklers die down, Rage makes his way down the ramp. On his way down the ramp, he gets one hell of a rude reception by the crowd. Rage, as usual, ignores the fans disdain on him and continues his merry way down the ramp. Once he hits the ring, he climbs up to the second rope and raises his X-WCW TV title proudly.
RK: “I wonder why they cheer for Xille tonight and STILL show disrespect for this man right here? I don’t get it, JR! Arent they technically BOTH bad guys?”
JR: “I guess your theory of fickled fans might be true then, King. *snickers*”
RK: “What the hell is so funny?”
JR: “nothing.”
Rage hands over the belt to the referee before he looks at X and starts to badmouth him from the other side of the ring. The referee hands over the belt to the outside while Rage continues to trash talk on Xille, who just stands there and shakes his head.
JR: “Rage is just showing how unsportsmanlike he is right here.”
RK: “No he is NOT! He is just motivating Xille, who has the same attention span as his former partner Ignavus.”
The bell rings and both men go to the center of the ring. Rage strangely extends his hand to Xille. Xille just looks at the hand for a while before he slowly extends him. Before he could even hold Rage’s hand, Rage goes for a kick, which Xille grabs. Xille delivers a couple of punches to Rage’s face before he lets go of Rage’s leg and takes the TV champ down with a standing dropkick.
JR: “Rage almost got away with another cheap shot, but Xille took care of him quickly with his quick thinking.”
RK: “Atleast Xille can do something he needs to do in the ring. Unlike..oh I dunno…Ignavus?”
Rage gets to his feet and he is whipped into the ropes by Xille. Xille catches him with a deep armdrag and locks on an armlock on the ground. R.E. Rage slowly gets to his feet and reverses the submission done by Xille. He kicks Xille on the gut and lets go before he delivers a clothesline. Xille goes down momentarily and Rage kicks him hard on the head while he is on the ground, to obviously draw some heel heat.
JR: “Oh that is just SO nice of Rage to do to Xille.”
Rage picks up Xille and sends him into the corner. Rage follows him there, but once Xille hits the corner, he floats over Rage. Rage turns around and he is met by a spinning leg lariat by Xille. Xille bounces off the ropes and delivers a basement dropkick to the side of the head of Rage. Rage rolls to the outside and tries to regroup for a while. Xille starts to stomp around on the inside of the ring before he runs towards the ropes and launches himself to the outside. Before Rage could react, Xille crashes down on him on the outside.
JR: “Suicide dive!”
RK: “The more I notice it, I think Xille is out of his mind just to prove a point of how much effort he is taking in his matches.”
The referee starts to count both men on the outside as they slowly get to their feet. Rage is the first one to get up and he smacks Xille on the face with a couple of elbows. Rage grabs Xille by the head and slams him face first into the steel steps. Xille is rolled into the ring by Rage before Rage goes to the apron. The X-WCW Television champ starts to make his way to the top rope as Xille is slowly getting to his feet.
JR: “R.E. Rage is standing on the top turnbuckle and he seems intent on doing something there.”
RK: “Surely you know he is gonna show Xille how to do something GREAT on the top rope.”
Rage launches himself off the top rope, but Xille is there to great him with a dropkick. Xille picks up Rage and kicks him right on the gut. Xille has Rage on his grasps and lands a DDT on the TV champ. Rage goes down and Xille drags him to the nearby ropes. Xille runs towards the other side of the ring and bounces off the ropes. He jumps over Rage before he connects a springboard corkscrew moonsault.
RK: “HOLY COW!!! HOW THE HELL DID HE DO THAT?!”
JR: “This may not be ROH, King, but Xille surely is showing how good he is in pulling off high risk moves. He pins Rage 1…2..NO! Rage gets a shoulder up.”
Xille smacks his hands on the mat a few times in frustration before he picks up Rage. Rage takes him by surprise with a face rake. As Xille staggers back, Rage reels him in for a two-hit knee strike to the gut before he finishes it up with a snap suplex. Rage gets to his feet and has a huge grin on his face as he waits for Xille to get up. As Xille slowly gets to his feet, Rage starts to smack him around on the head. Rage helps him get up and he hits a European uppercut on Xille. Xille backs up on the corner and Rage delivers a barrage of punches and kicks at the former member of default.
JR: “Rage makes his way to the apron and he starts climbing on the corner.”
RK: “You know whats up next huh JR?”
JR: “We see Rage pull this move off numerous times, King. OF COURSE I KNOW WHATS GONNA HAPPEN NEXT!”
Once Rage is on the top turnbuckle, he delivers a corner rocker dropper on Xille. Rage hooks Xille up for the pin, but Xille kicks out at two.
RK: “WHAT?! Rage pulled that move off to perfection, yet he kicked out?!”
JR: “That is just resiliency being shown by Xille, King.”
Rage gets up and starts to argue with the referee. While the champ continues his argument, Xille is seen getting to his feet. As soon as Rage is finished, he turns around, only to get one hard punch in the face by Xille. Xille follows it up with a couple more before he sends Rage to the ropes. As soon as Rage bounces off the ropes, Xille leapfrogs over him. Rage rebounds for the second time and he is caught by a single leg takedown. Xille waits for Rage to get up before he runs towards him. Xille goes for a hurracanrana, but Rage converts it into a sit-down powerbomb. After he pulls it off, both Xille and himself are down on the mat.
JR: “Rage made a desperate move and it connects. However, I think it took a lotta steam outta our tv champ.”
RK: “I know it did, JR. But I got a feeling that Rage will still win this match. There is NO way he can lose this!”
The referee starts to count both men while they are down. A few seconds later, both men crawl onto opposite sides of the ring. They both get to their feet at the same time to null the standing 10 count by the ref. Xille sees Rage and runs towards him. Rage spots Xille charging at him and tries to deliver a clothesline. Xille slides under him and goes to the outside. As Rage turns around to catch a glimpse of Xille, The X grabs him and hotshots him onto the top rope. Rage stumbles around in the ring as Xille makes his way to the apron.
JR: “Rage is on spaghetti legs right now, King, and I dunno what Xille has in mind.”
RK: “If I know him, its something crazy.”
Xille springs himself from the apron and makes his way to the ring. However, Rage somehow takes him out with a kick to the chin.
JR: “REVERSE CRESENT KICK ON XILLE! Bah gawd!”
RK: “Now that is amazing! It looks like Xille wanted to do a Shelton Benjamin on Rage, but Rage somehow pulled of a Shawn Michaels on that move.”
Xille goes down flat on the mat while Rage is down on his knees. Rage crawls onto the fallen Xille and rolls him over for the pin.
JR: “Here comes the count 1…2…thr-XILLE GETS AN ARM UP!!!”
RK: “DAMN IT! DAMN XILLE AND HIS HUGE HEART!”
Rage slowly gets to his feet and picks up Xille. He sets him up for the Revolver shot, but Xille blocks the attempt with his free leg. Xille then uses his free leg to deliver multiple knee strikes to Rage so he can let go of him. Eventually, Rage lets go and Xille kicks him on the gut area before he delivers a sit-down facebuster. Xille collapses on the fallen Rage and the referee counts for the pin.
JR: “Heres the pin, 1..2..NO! Rage got a shoulder up!”
RK: “YES!”
Xille uses the ropes to pull himself up his feet. Rage, meanwhile, crawls towards the nearest corner. Xille is up and he runs towards the corner where Rage is resting on. Rage sees Xille and he gets out of the way. Rage turns around to look at the corner and receives a kick from Xille, who is on the second turnbuckle. Xille grabs Rage by the head and he delivers the Last Mile.
JR: “LAST MILE! LAST MILE!! Rage is down and Xille pins Rage 1…2…3! Its over, king!”
RK: “DAMN IT! DAMN IT! OH MY GAWD! DAMMIT!”
The bell rings and “Lapdance” hits the speakers to signal Xille’s win.
TH: “The winner and NEW X-WCW Television champion…XILLE!!!”
The referee helps Xille get to his feet and hands him the TV title. R.E. Rage, rolls out of the ring and gets up. He looks at Xille, who is inside the ring, with disdain on my face before he leaves the ringside area.
JR: “Tonight, a champion has been made here on Doubleshot.”
RK: “Oh well, at least it wasn’t Ignavus.”
Xille snatches the TV title from the referee’s hands and raises it in victory. He goes to the top turnbuckle and poses with the TV title before he hears his music getting cut. Xille jumps down from the turnbuckle and wonders what has happened. Before he could approach the referee about this, “Clint Eastwood” by Gorillaz hits the speakers.
JR: “Well I’ll be…its Ignavus.”
Ignavus enters the ringside area to the delight of the crowd. The Almighty Slacker has a mic on his hands and he looks at Xille. Xille, inside the ring, points at Ignavus before he gets a mic of his own.
X: “So, you decided to rain on my parade right now huh Igz? You knew that I will win this and you just hog up the glory like you did when we were a tag team. Let me tell you this…you better get outta here right now and let me savour my victory..or I’ll just go right there and beat you up till you bleed!”
RK: “Ooh! I think Xille has a motive right now. Lets see what the monkey has to say about that.”
Igz: “Xille, don’t get me wrong now. I would have come outta here even if you lost to R.E. Rage. Infact, I came out here to congratulate you in being the new X-WCW TV Champ. However, my main reason in going out here, is to challenge you at Ground Zero. You wanna beat me up till I bleed? Well how about we fight in a first blood match? So my former comrade…what is your say? Are you up to the challenge of a first blood match?”
X: “Hah. Well then, you don’t have to ask it twice. If given the opportunity to fight you..you know it’s a YES!”
Igz: “I see then. Well Xille, see you at Washington.”
The fans cheer as Ignavus leaves the ringside area.
JR: “King! Did you just hear that?!”
RK: “Xille vs Ignavus in a first blood match! That sounds nice to me! Not only will I see those two beating the other man up…they are gonna try to make the other man bleed as well!”
JR: “Folks, we will be back right after these messages.”
X-WCW goes to a commercial break as Xille looks at the stage before he leaves the ring.
Big Dog vs Stryker
“Stupefy” plays on the PA system, and Big Dog arrives on stage, receiving a loud boo from the crowd.
TH: “The following contest is set for one fall! Introducing first: BIG DOG!”
Big Dog walks to the ring with sinister intent.
And a moment later, “Speedway” hits, and Flash Stryker appears on stage, soliciting a loud cheer as he does so.
TH: “And his opponent: FLASH STRYKER!”
Flash Stryker points at the ring, and starts to run towards it.
As soon as he hits the ring, both men waste no time in tying up. After a few seconds, no clear strength advantage is gained, so BD breaks the tie up with a few knee lifts, then he places Stryker in a pump handle predicament, lifting him into a modified backbreaker! Without hesitation, BD goes for a fast pinfall attempt!
RK: “1…. 2…. NOT YET!”
JR: “Stryker gets an 11 out of 10 for his resilience in these situations, and he’ll need it to overcome Big Dog’s slight size advantage!”
Stryker gets up, but BD resumes his attack right away. He whips Stryker into the right ropes, and on Stryker’s rebound, BD catches him and lifts him into a side backbreaker! BD goes for another pin.
RK: “1…. 2…. LATE!”
JR: “All Spaceballs quotes aside, Stryker’s not that easy to beat! He’s only ever one move away from taking any match!”
Stryker gets up again, and as BD tries another Irish whip toward the back ropes, Stryker reverses it, flooring BD with a double foot dropkick on the rebound. Stryker springs up again; bouncing off the front ropes and hitting BD with a stiff knee drop to the abdomen. Stryker then goes for a pinfall of his own.
RK: “1…. 2…. KICK OUT!”
JR: “And Big Dog’s no easybeat either! He’s made a pretty big impact in our company since his arrival many months ago!”
BD gets up, but as soon as he stands upright, Stryker’s back on the offensive. Stryker takes a few steps back, and then he launches into a hurricanranna, bringing BD right back down into a pinning predicament.
RK: “1…. 2…. CLOSE!”
JR: “It’s not over yet! Not by a damn sight! These two could go at it for hours at this rate!”
RK: “It could be good for our ratings, JR!”
JR: “This is Doubleshot, and we’re on community TV, King!”
RK: “Sorry!”
JR: “I’ll spare you the hazing this time!”
BD gets up, but as Stryker charges at him for another attack; BD brings him down face first with a drop toehold. Almost immediately, BD locks Stryker in an inverted STF! His ring positioning for the hold is ideal: all the ropes are out of Stryker’s reach.
RK: “This could be it if Stryker gives up!”
JR: “Though I still can’t see that happening just yet!”
After nearly 30 seconds in the hold, Stryker shows signs of fighting back. Despite the referee’s repeated prompts, he resists the urge to tap out, and instead he tries to roll over to the left.
BD, however, stops the movement, but Stryker suddenly rolls back to his right, taking BD over with him and reaching the front ropes. This causes BD to release the hold, and slowly but surely, Stryker rises again.
Once Stryker is up, BD whips him face first into the back right corner, and once Stryker turns to face BD, BD is already charging at him with a stiff back elbow smash! The blow finds its mark, and as Stryker smarts from the impact, BD launches into a charging shoulder attempt.
However, Stryker manages to drop to his right, causing BD to slam his shoulder right into the turnpost. With BD in pain, Stryker straightens him up against the turnbuckles, mounting them and nailing BD with a flurry of punches.
The crowd cheers, and counts the punches – “1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10!” – as they happen. However, BD has recovered to some degree by this point, and with a mighty push, BD hurls Stryker down to the mat.
BD quickly grabs Stryker’s legs, catapulting him right back into the turnbuckles – and almost out of the ring – before catching the rebounding Stryker from behind and hitting him with an atomic drop. Stryker staggers around the ring for a few moments, enabling BD to catch him and hit his finisher – The Doghouse Delivery – on him!
BD goes for what he thinks will be the final pinfall of the match.
RK: “1…. 2…. How the hell did Flash Stryker kick out of that?”
JR: “With great difficulty, but the fans love it! Listen to them!”
The fans start a “Let’s go Flash!” chant as Stryker gets to his feet. BD tries to lock Stryker in a sleeper hold, but Stryker drops out of it with a stiff jawbreaker.
Stryker hears the crowd chanting, and as BD smarts from the pain of the jawbreaker, Stryker stands right up, booting the stumbling BD in the gut and nailing him with a double underhook powerbomb!
RK: “That’s odd: Flash Stryker’s never been known for such power moves before!”
JR: “Well, Big Dog’s pretty powerful, so Stryker’s got to do whatever it takes!”
But Stryker doesn’t go for the pinfall right away. Instead, he waits for BD to get up, booting him in the gut once more and nailing him with another strong move: a double underhook piledriver!
And Stryker resists the temptation to pin BD once more. He signals for the Drag Strip, whipping the fans into a frenzy in the process!
RK: “NOW he wants to hit the Drag Strip!”
JR: “If this was a baseball game, I’d say Big Dog was about to strike out!”
RK: “With the powerbomb as Strike One and the piledriver as Strike Two, I’ll bet!”
JR: “That’s right!”
BD staggers to his feet, and Stryker is upon him immediately. He hooks BD’s arms for the third time, reversing toward the back left turnbuckles, then he climbs them and hits the Drag Strip from the top rope!
RK: “STRIKE THREE! It looks like Big Dog’s out!”
JR: “And Stryker’s going for the pin!”
RK: “1…. 2…. 3! STRYKER WINS!”
JR: “And what a gutsy win it was! The fans are on their feet!”
The crowd cheers loudly as Stryker raises his arms in victory.
TH: “Here’s your winner: FLASH STRYKER!”
JR: “What a nice, even match-up that was!”
RK: “Just when we thought Flash Stryker was just a technical high-flying type of wrestler, he goes out and shows us that he’s got some power moves on tap as well!”
JR: “And as a result, Big Dog got cut down to size!”
RK: “It would appear so! He’s not moving at all!”
A few EMTs come rushing down to assist the downed BD.
JR: “Those moves would hurt a lot, so this is a reasonable course of action to take!”
RK: “And there’s a lot more action on the way, so stay tuned for that!”
Sandy Drake and Renegade Pre-Match Face Off
Doubleshot goes back from the commercial break and we hear “Behind those eyes” fill in the stereo systems of the arena floor. Sandy Drake comes out from the back and he does the superhero pose to the crowd. The fans give him a good response as he dashes down the ramp, while slapping a few hands to boot, and slides into the ring.
JR: “Welcome back to Doubleshot, folks. Before the show began, Sany Drake expressed interest in having a face off between his opponent for the ppv.”
RK: “I guess he wants to see who is gonna break his face in half, JR.”
Drake grabs the mic from the mat and the fans start to cheer him. Which is weird, since he hasn’t said anything yet.
SD: “Tonight, is the night! Renegade come out here and lets have a talk.”
“Hurt” by Johnny Cash plays on the PA systems and Renegade makes his way to the ringside area. The fans quickly boo the Renegade on his way down the ramp.
RK: “Ask, and you shall receive! But I hope Sandy doesn’t get the short end of his demands and gets beatedn to a pulp by this guy. Renegade, is one tough SOB.”
JR: “Yes, so tough, he carried TG Stylez and FP to win a match.”
RK: “SEE! That doesn’t only take guts, JR! IT TAKES BALLS!!!”
Drake smirks at Renegade as both men are now in the ring.
SD: “I’m glad to see you actually came here Renegade. I thought you’re a big chicken and will just hide behind the higher up’s pants. Now on our match I am gonn-”
Before Sandy Drake could continue, Renegade snatches the mic from him. Which draws a loud ‘oooohhh!’ from the crowd.
R: “Now lets get this over with son. You say you wanna talk with me right here in this ring? Here I am. Now let me tell you something, I don’t need to go here in the first place and waste my time with you jabbering about our match on Ground Zero. Cause quite frankly, ah don’t give a damn about YOU! Quite frankly, your just a big waste of my time! And another thing, you wanna ask about my GAME PLAN on our match? Its just plain simple, son, I kick your ass, its over. End of story! You think you got a shot at beating me? THE RENEGADE? I won a 6-man tag by carrying two of my partners! Obviously it was a 3-on-1 at the start of the match and I was the one and I beaten three men in that ring. How about you Sandy? What did you do? You did nothing! You just defeated a sexually depraved tall black guy in the ring!”
RK: “hahaha…oh wait, he is talking about bruno!”
R: “So son, what the hell you wanna say now?”
Renegade tosses the mic at Drake, who catches it.
SD: “Nothing much, Renegade. I’m glad to hear what you said. Honestly, you just answered everything I had to ask about you and our match. Only one thing is wrong here..you wont win! Its gonna be me, THE YOUNG ONE, who is gonna kick your ass on Ground Zero 3. So Renegade, don’t you forget the fact that I’m young..and your not”
Drake laughs at Renegade and turns to the crowd. As Drake has his back turned Renegade attacks him from behind.
JR: “Oh what a cheap shot at Sandy Drake there by the renegade!”
RK: “What are you talking about? Drake deserves every bit of this!”
Renegade continues his assault on Sandy Drake while a couple of Road Agents storm into the ring and break up the fight. X-WCW goes to a commercial break.
Best of Five Series (Match 5)
Steel Cage Match
PowerBomb vs StarStorm
“n-T-o” hits the speakers, followed closely by “End of Everything”. Before long, both members of StarStorm make their entrance, receiving a huge boo from the crowd upon doing so.
TH: “The following is the final match in a Best of Five series, and the team that escapes the cage first shall be declared the winner! Introducing first, representing the nTo: STARSTORM!”
The booing gets even louder – and a chant of “No Talent Order!” breaks out – as StarStorm enter the already caged ring through the unlocked door.
A moment later, “Rollin’” hits, and the team of PowerBomb make their way out, receiving a huge cheer from the fans in attendance.
TH: “And their opponents: POWERBOMB!”
PowerBomb enter the ring, and the cage door is locked behind them.
The referee calls for the bell, and as soon as it rings, the battle is on. Powermaster mans up against Raven Darkstorm, and Bombshell goes after Vanth Dreadstar, and all competitors exchange punches for the first 15 seconds of the match.
After this, PM and Raven find themselves in the front left corner, and BS and Vanth end up in the back right corner. With this, the PowerBomb members try to whip the StarStorm members into a collision course, but the move is reversed, sending PM and BS crashing into each other.
As the PowerBomb members stumble backward after the impact, the StarStorm members capitalise on this by hitting synchronised atomic drops on their opposite numbers, bringing them both to the mat.
And with equal speed, Raven and Vanth proceed to climb to the top of the cage, but they are both brought crashing to the mat by PM and BS before they reach the halfway mark.
RK: “Knowing the history between these two teams of late, JR, we could be in for a long match-up!”
JR: “Not if StarStorm have anything to say about it, King! They wanted out, and fast!”
PowerBomb seize the initiative. PM and BS attack their opposite numbers with another flurry of blows, and before long, PM and Raven tie up. This tie up doesn’t last long, though, as PM – being the much larger combatant – throws him to the mat as if he were a small boy.
JR: “He was just thrown like he was just a rag doll, king.”
Meanwhile, BS has placed Vanth in a hammerlock, and he presses Vanth’s face against the cage wall, walking along the edge and raking Vanth’s face with the steel mesh. Upon reaching the back left corner, Vanth is bleeding, and BS rams Vanth headfirst into the turnbuckle a number of times. At the same time, PM has lifted Raven into a torture rack position, and is walking around the ring with him on his shoulders. After a few seconds, PM drops Raven into an F-5 style manoeuvre, sending Raven down hard. PM stands right up, and without further hesitation, he starts to climb the cage.
RK: “It looks like PowerBomb have the same idea!”
JR: “But knowing Powermaster as well as I do, I don’t think a quick getaway is his style!”
PM reaches the top of the cage, but instead of leaving it, he jumps into a huge elbow drop on the downed Raven. However, this strategy backfires: Raven is able to roll out of the way, causing PM to hit the mat awkwardly.
On the other side of the cage, Vanth continues to bleed. BS stands him up straight, slapping his right hand on Vanth’s throat and bringing him down with a nasty chokeslam!
Meanwhile, as PM is smarting from his awkward fall, Raven gets up and attacks BS from behind. This turns out to be a futile manoeuvre, as BS nails Raven with a low blow – which is perfectly legal in this match – and turns around to give him a powerbomb!
JR: “Bah Gawd! PowerBomb are right on their game tonight!”
RK: “I’m surprised StarStorm haven’t put up more of a fight!”
JR: “That’s probably because the nTo have been barred from ringside!”
RK: “Uh…. no comment!”
Both PowerBomb members climb to the top of the cage with all possible speed. Instead of escaping, though, they wait for both StarStorm members to get up once more, and once this happens, PM and BS jump onto them with stereo clotheslines!
JR: “All nTo influences aside, PowerBomb are making StarStorm look like rookies here!”
RK: “I’m at a loss to explain it too! But having said that, Vanth has lost a lot of blood!”
JR: “I think Raven’s been busted open too!”
RK: “Yes, he has!”
From this point forward, it’s a walk in the park for PowerBomb. PM and BS bring Vanth to his feet again, slapping their hands on his throat and slamming him to the mat with a powerful double chokeslam!
The fans erupt as PM and BS pick Raven up off the mat, and then they hit an equally powerful double powerbomb on the hapless Raven, before finally climbing out of the cage and winning the match.
The bell rings to end proceedings.
JR: “What an emphatic win that was! PowerBomb take the series 3-2!”
RK: “And at the same time, they’re letting Christopher Back and D-Extreme know that they kicked the wrong tag team out of the nTo!”
JR: “Good point! And with the fans firmly behind them now, they don’t need to be in a large stable to get over!”
RK: “Point taken! The fans are just eating them up! Listen!”
A “PowerBomb!” chant breaks out as Terri makes her announcement.
TH: “Here are your winners, taking the Best of Five series with a score of 3 to 2: POWERBOMB!”
The fans continue to cheer.
JR: “I think Chris and D-Extreme had better be careful! I don’t think they’re done with the nTo just yet!”
RK: “Though taking them all on at the same time would be a risky move, if you ask me!”
JR: “Though PowerBomb are in devastating form: probably the best form of their careers right now!”
RK: “You’ll get no argument from me on that!”
JR: “After what Grandmaster E did to you earlier, I don’t think you should argue either!”
RK: “Jeez! Haven’t I eaten enough humble pie for one night?”
JR: “It’s all part of life’s rich circle, King.”
RK: “True enough, JR, true enough.”
JR: “Well folks, that is all the time we have for X-WCW Doubleshot. Tune in for the X-WCW Awards presentation. For Randal King, this is James Russell..SEE YA ON GROUND ZERO 3!”
